Chapter 22

Hope's POV:

"So how does it feel?" I ask glancing at Kate before focusing back on the road.

She shifts slightly in her seat. "It's a bit...different than what I'm used to. But not uncomfortable," she answers truthfully and I nod slightly.

   "You'll get used to it, I'm sure. Just try not to squeeze your legs together too tight or get hit there. It is not pleasant. Believe me," I say then warn her and she grimaced while spreading her legs a bit more to get more comfortable.

  I nod slightly in understanding since I, myself have my legs spread a little. "So are you really going to try it out?" Rosalie spoke up from the back and I glance in the rearview mirror finding both of my mates holding hands in the back.

They look absolutely stunning. "Maybe. But first I have to see how long I last. Also do I wear a condom since I'm a cold one?" Kate answers and it's such a her answer that I didn't expect anything less.

"Word of advice. Always wear a condom. Doesn't matter if you're a Cold One. Stranger things have happened. I mean look at me. A breathing miracle. My dad got my mom pregnant when he didn't mean too," I advise cupping my face with one hand and give her a smile before focusing on the road again.

   Kate laughs quietly at me and nods. "Alright. So wrap it before I tap it," she says making me snort out a laugh of amusement.

"Yeah sure if you want to see it that way," I agree laughing while shaking my head. The others laugh or giggle in my mates case.

  It's the truth. I pull into the parking lot behind Esme's car and find a parking space then shut it off. "I'm totally getting the biggest steak they have," I say as I unbuckle.

"Me too. Let's see who can finish it all," Kate adds with a smirk and I grin with a nod.

Oh yeah. A bet. "You're on, Kitty Kat," I tell her and shake her hand firmly then got out. I opened the back door for my mates who give me a kiss on the cheek in thanks.

I sigh happily. It's nice to feel like this again. A loud clearing of a throat made me roll my eyes with an amused smile then walked around my car and opened the passenger door for Kate.

  "You know since you have a dick now, shouldn't you be opening other peoples doors?" I ask raising an eyebrow at her.

  Her eyebrows furrow slightly in thought before she nods. "You're right. You don't have to open my door anymore until I go back to normal," she says and I shrug with a nod.

"Sounds good to me," I agree closing my door softly and locked my car before we walk over to the entrance where the others are.

   Momma, Poppa, Esme, Tanya, Irina, Davina, Aunt Rebekah, and Aunt Freya stood in front of us. "Alright we're going to be in this nice restaurant and we have some rules for you all except you two. You girls are okay," Momma announced pointing at my mates who move to be next to them.

  That leaves the rest of us. Why are we only getting the talk? "Rule number 1, please don't act a fool in here. Rule number 2, no dirty talk. Rule number 3, just please don't embarrass yourselves or us," momma spoke up and informs us.

   Kate and I glance at each other briefly then shrug. "That's fair. We won't," she responds and I nod agreeing making momma, Poppa, Tanya, Irina, Aunt Freya, and Aunt Rebekah relax.

   "Boys," Esme says in a warning tone and we look towards them. They straighten their posture and nod.

  "How come we're in this with them?" Uncle Kol questions while pointing at himself and Marcel who crossed his arms.
