dawn smiled at the thought of him being able to make it through to the next round, all he wanted to do was spend time with his friends. he had to stay positive no matter what, dawn started thinking that maybe he climbed up to the top nine but that was impossible especially for his case..

at most he had a chance of being the last survivor, but right now he was just praying that they would announce his name for the top nine and perform say my name with those who loved.

it seemed as if everyone's mind was all focusing on who would be apart of the infamous top nine, time was slowly ticking as dawn stared into the soul of the star master waiting for him to say something.

gyuvin suddenly placed his huge hands on dawn's thighs, dawn was about to scream but held in his shock as he didn't want to be embarrassed on camera. gyuvin didn't intend to embarrass dawn like this as his intentions was to comfort him, dawn knew gyuvin would never embarrass him on purpose so he gave him a reassuring smile to tell him everything was okay.

at last, the star master was now preparing to reveal the top nine candidates. he could feel the stares of those as he shakily held onto gyuvin's hands, he really wanted to be apart of it but it was impossible.

dawn wasn't too shocked when he didn't see himself but he was still happy for the three trainees that were displayed. park gunwook, lee hoetaek and kum junhyeon, one of them would be the special top nine member. however dawn was shocked to see hoetaek drop, he was apart of the top nine but now he was fighting to be apart of it.

the three nervously made their way to the podiums as dawn was praying for hoetaek to continue being in the top nine. the rank 11 would be revealed first, whoever was revealed should be proud of themselves as they still survived.

"lee hoetaek." both dawn and gyuvin faced each other with shocked faces, they both couldn't believe what they just heard. everyone was sure that hoetaek would be apart of the top nine again but now, this was just a twist.

dawn talked to gyuvin about how he couldn't believe his ears, then that's when the star master went on to reveal the person who made it to the top nine. dawn didn't know who would make it as they both equally deserved to be in there, there was a fifty-fifty chance it could be either gunwook or junhyeon.

"park gunwook." dawn was quite happy for the young trainee, dawn had heard him talk about how he's working hard to make sure he's apart of the top nine and finally he did it. reality hit dawn as he was starting to realise that he was soon gone after a few announcements.

the eighth place was now going to be revealed, dawn held onto gyuvin tightly as he was definitely apart of the top nine. he was so popular in korea and around the world, he was good looking and talented so dawn wished he was him.

the person who ranked eighth was the killing part of their team and even won first, dawn immediately thought of keita and that's when dawn also thought of someone else. kim taerae, he had a chance of being one of the people in the top nine as recently he was getting some attention around the world.

"keita!" dawn cheered immediately as he smiled towards the direction of keita who was also happy, dawn clapped as he saw keita making his way to the podium with the microphone in his hand.

while dawn was listening to keita making his speech, he could feel gyuvin tightening his grip on dawn's thigh. feeling somewhat eerie, dawn asked if gyuvin was okay.

"not really... i'm so worried for you. you don't understand how stressed i am right now." hearing how gyuvin was stressed for dawn, he felt so bad that gyuvin was worried for him when he should be worried about himself.

"gyuvinnie. don't worry about me, your parents can take care of me when i do get eliminated." dawn gave gyuvin a warm smile as gyuvin smiled back knowing that his boyfriend would be in good hands with his parents, but one question that stuck with him was how would his parents react to their relationship.

seventh rank was now up, dawn was praying it would be gyuvin so somewhat of his stress could be gone. luckily there was a chance as the trainee who ranked seventh was apart of k group, but there were so many trainees this could be.

"kim taerae!" dawn smiled at him, they've never really gotten the time to talk to each other but all dawn knew was that he was definitely sassy especially around woongki and seowon. he definitely recieved a high rank due to his talented singing during man in love, i mean even dawn fell in love with him.

now it was the sixth rank, dawn was convinced it would be gyuvin unless something weird happened. dawn was definitely excited as the clue was that whoever ranked sixth received benefits, but when he realised there were more trainees who received more his confidence fell. dawn smiled as the other three left in his team had all won benefits so he held onto everyone's hands.

"kim gyuvin!" dawn immediately fell into gyuvin's arms as he was so happy for him, they hugged for a while until gyuvin realised he was on camera. everyone in the room knew about their relationship for sure even if they didn't say anything, gyuvin took his time to head to the podium.

"there are so many trainees that need to survive, i'm waiting for you dawn!" gyuvin said with a tear dropping, dawn wanted to cry but held it in due to the camera literally shoved in his face.

when the fifth rank was getting revealed, the star master went on to say that it was someone unexpected.. maybe it was dawn who climbed up her twenty steps but that was impossible? maybe it was someone who dropped a lot, this was so hard to predict. but then it was revealed, it was someone who dropped from their last spot.

"kim jiwoong!" out of all the people that could have dropped, dawn didn't expect him to be the one but either way he was still confirmed to survive. dawn turned around and smiled at the man next to him and congratulated him, meanwhile jiwoong told him that he's rooting for dawn to make it.

"i'd doubt that but go win!" dawn smiled as he watched jiwoong make his way to the podium where he made his speech, right now dawn wasn't too upset about being eliminated as he came to terms with it.

the top four was now going to be revealed, dawn smiled as he knew one of them was sitting right next to him, seok matthew. now the star master was going to reveal who the candidates would be, dawn thought of the four everyone else was already thinking of.

dawn smiled at seeing the expected four, sung hanbin, han yujin, zhang hao and seok matthew. no one was shocked, they were all happy that the four of them were there as they all deserved to rank this high. dawn waved goodbye to matthew praying that he was still going to keep his second rank.

the first rank that was going to be announced was the person who ranked fourth, whoever they were really deserved it. the person had ranked first in over 70 regions such as US, France and Switzerland... dawn immediately thought of seok matthew because of france.

"seok matthew!" dawn could hear the shock gasps of those around, to be honest dawn also didn't expect him to fall down to fourth. dawn smiled so much at his speech because he was mentioned in it.

"to dawn, i know you're probably shaking inside but just know that we are all rooting for you. we all hope to see you in that seat.." dawn smiled and threw hearts at him.

dawn wanted to tear up but was distracted by the mention of the third rank, dawn immediately heard china and thought of zhang hao as he was chinese. dawn was shocked to hear that they had received over 6 million votes.

"han yujin!" dawn gasped so loudly as he didn't expect to hear his name, everyone was thinking of zhang hao due to the fact that the trainee that recieved fourth ranked the highest in china. but i guess it was different, dawn cheered for yujin, one of his children.

it was funny how the remaining two were literally sung hanbin and zhang hao, just like dawn and gyuvin everyone was speculating that something was going on between them.

they both made their speeches towards each other and smiled, honestly this was flirting. but at the end sung hanbin was revealed to be first place.

"who will rank 28th?"
