"dawn wang!"
a voice called out as dawn realised the staff member was calling him, this meant that he was up next to perform for his test. nervously he got up and many wished him good luck, while entering the room he couldn't stop shaking as the masters looked at him in silence.
"you may begin when you're ready." one of them said as dawn went on one of his knees as that was the starting position, he was honestly shaking so much that a whole earthquake could have happened any second. the music played and dawn got on his a game on, when he had this mode on, he honestly forgot about everything and just had fun that was the most important thing about performing!
he was stable with his vocals making sure that he was on key and that he presented his vocals in a way that suit the song while making sure his dancing was also strong but not too over as that could ruin the whole image. dawn was smart and knew when to look good, the masters seemed to notice this as in certain parts he would have a charm that dragged them to keep watching.
"you are one impressive person." solji said as dawn caught his breathe after the longest minute of his life, immediately after he thanked them for their time and cutely left the room. he was in the waiting room shaking heavily waiting to see when his result would come in, dawn had so many thoughts rushing in his mind.
"dawn wang... all stars." reading this gave dawn some relaxation knowing that all the practise he's done over the last few days had paid off but there were still issues that needed to be fixed. as he headed back, he rushed to hao and went into his arms, he was glad to have him help everyday so he owned it to him.
the other trainees came over and congratulated him for staying at the hardest level. dawn was so proud of himself, he was never the type to cry in front of others and if so you know that was the lowest moment of his life.
immediately after dawn was keita, a former idol known for his impressive rap skills. he was short just like dawn so maybe that's why they got along quite easily, but despite being a rapper he was so good at singing that it shocked everyone. hao mentioned how he was grateful that the global trainees were talented people as it would be a struggle with the amount of zero stars. with keita's performance, it was clear that majority of them if not all of them had stayed in all stars.
there were still more performances but they remained in the same position however there were people he was worried about, ricky he had dropped to two stars which was a shame as he was talented but he was ill. there was a mystery as he wasn't able to see the k group until later as he wanted to see how the yuehuas did.
with loud claps and cheers, the signal song test had finally ended after long hours. dawn was proud of himself for staying at all stars as many dreamed of reaching that level but he did it twice!
dawn's face was captured with a look of shock, the reason for this look was the masters announced that this wasn't the end as this wasn't their final rank. since the masters were split into two rooms for testing, the standard was different so this would mean they rewatched each clip to see if there were any errors which allowed people to either move up or down.
seok matthew's name was finally called out as everyone looked at him with excitement, would he move up or down? the next few words lead to them cheering, all stars. dawn was so happy as this could help them win the benefit, hugging him was such an unreal moment!
shortly after, the new shirts were given to those who had received a new result. but there was a surprise for everyone as right next door was the stage for the signal song. dawn was amazed at the quality of the place, it was huge and bright. he couldn't believe that he was going to perform there and with those he had become friends with!
that was when the k group entered, dawn looked for the yuehuas and noticed they didn't enter with the all stars so this meant they had received a lower score which scared him. while the three stars entered, he noticed all four of them were in there with the orange uniform. he could tell they didn't look like they were in the mood so he didn't bother waving at them.
the all stars were called up to the stage where dawn along with hao and kuanjui held hands and skipped to the stage together. this allowed fans to give them a friendship name, "the chinese trio" it was cute and just like that this was something that dawn would hold onto. one by one each level would go up, this was taller than dawn thought so it was quite frightening.
dawn looked over at the zero stars who were on the floor with eyes that spoke a huge boat of emotions, they were definitely jealous and he felt so bad for them. even during rehearsals, all they could do was watch as they knew they could do nothing about it.
the centers for both group were revealed to be sung hanbin for k group which was a perfect role for him and zhang hao for g group, dawn was one of the first people to vote for hao as he knew that having him as their center was a perfect fit. but the trainee who would have the main highlight was sung hanbin, the reason for this was k group had won the benefit.
dawn watched as the stage hanbin was standing on lifted all by itself, this was insane. dawn wished this was him but one day there would be an opportunity for that to happen, he just knew that one day it would happen.
"im so jealous!" dawn said as hao also agreed while pouting, everyone wanted this but only one would win this and it happened to be hanbin who did deserve this!
tomorrow was the day they were going to shoot the iconic signal song video so dawn got some good sleep.
