DISCLAIMER: only the g group's test performance will be talked about as i'm not too confident on whether they saw the other group's test or not.
dawn woke up in the dance practise room where hanbin's knees were used as his pillows. he felt bad for being an issue all night but right now all he could think about was the fact that his parents could be getting kicked out right now. slowly, dawn got up as he didn't want to wake him up since he must have been tired from keeping him awake all night especially since today was an important day.
"thank you." dawn quietly said as he left the room getting ready for the test, he wanted to do his best so he decided to let the issues of his parents go. there were times where he completely forgot about stuff like that since he just shut it down but a day later it would come back. as soon as he left, he noticed that ricky was looking for him everywhere.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" ricky yelled in such a soft tone that dawn found it funny, dawn explained how he was out helping others that he fell asleep in one of the practise rooms. luckily ricky fell for it as he gave him a weird look and then carried on to getting ready.
"wheres ollie?" dawn asked as he hasn't seen him for some time, and that was when ricky told him that ollie was staying absent for the test due to him being unwell. yujin was also close to being absent but had gotten better so he's continuing the test.
dawn decided to head to the test area early to perhaps those that may know what's going on, he couldn't stand seeing gyuvin especially since he's the only one who knows and seeing him hurts. when he arrived, one of the global all stars had arrived, jay. him and dawn hadn't talked at all yet but immediately after dawn sat down, jay went over to him and introduced himself.
dawn was immediately shocked to see the immediate conversation started, despite being shocked dawn also introduced himself. all dawn remembered was during practise, jay was struggling a lot since he wasn't too confident in his dancing. surprisingly the two of them got along quite well since they could both speak english, dawn told him how he loved his rush hour performance and how it was his favourite.
meanwhile slowly others had arrived, dawn was loving the chat he and jay were having. one surprising thing he learnt about jay was that he had a lot of cultures since he was mixed, jay was also shocked to hear that dawn was also mixed. that was when jay had an idea to be called the "mixed-bros"
dawn loved the idea and laughed at it, it was genuine since dawn's never had a friendship name since he was always a loner during his childhood so finally making new friends was definitely something dawn would have never expected in his childhood.
the room was now filled with all the trainees waiting nervously for what was up next, suddenly the screen that was displayed in front of them was now showing some of the masters. everyone was shocked to see this, were they gonna perform right in front of them or infront of the screen everyone was going insane.
dawn listened carefully as the masters explained that one by one when they were called up, they would enter the testing room which was in the corner where they would meet the masters one on one and perform the signal song. dawn honestly thought that it would be in front of a video call because if it was so, that was definitely less intimidating as their reactions wouldn't be shown as much as in person.
the plan for g group was that the lower ranks should at least obtain a goal of reaching one star so that their contribution could be added, and for the higher ranks to stay where they are. but right now, the zero stars were first in line. dawn was shaking as you never know how much someone has done until you've seen it for yourself.
nervously, he watched as yang jun was the first person up. dawn was excited to see him especially since he helped him and wanted jun to do well knowing that everyone was making fun of him for his hot performance. g group also needed his extra contribution for the win but their expectations was soon failed as while he was performing, anxiety poured all on him as he forgot the lyrics and choreography and just stood there while making up his own lyrics.
