(back to present)

dawn along with his headed backstage where they nervously watched k group about to perform their version of love me right. as much as he wanted to stay positive of winning, he knew deep down that there was a low chance for them to win especially with the likes of hoetaek and hanbin as their opponents.

dawn remembered how during rehearsals when the master came in for the check up to see how everything was, the two killing parts were being compared which was himself and yedam. dawn allowed yedam to go first mainly because he was afraid of being judged by everyone since it was right in front of the whole room.

that was when the masters went on to explain how dawn had a natural presence to him while yedam was trying too hard to get that presence, so that allowed dawn to get more powerful aura as he wasn't trying to get attention.

later that night, dawn realised that the board with the positions was changed. yedam was no longer the killing part but now it was sung hanbin, dawn wasn't too surprised as he always thought that hanbin was the better fit for them position but never said anything about it as it wasn't his place to speak.

but one thing dawn really admired was that he found out later that the reason why hanbin wasn't the killing part position was that he wanted the others to have a fair shot at having some air time, that's when he realised how much of a good person hanbin really was. now dawn felt a bit guilty going for the killing part as he knew that he was quite popular already due to the votes.

every time g group finished their rehearsal, dawn would stay back and ask if it was okay if he could practise along with them as he wanted to the best he can. he was expecting them to say no especially since they were competing against each other but hanbin did not hesitate to allow dawn to join them.

why was hanbin such a good soul, his parents raised him right. he even realised how well hanbin was good at dancing and teaching, there were parts that he helped dawn with even though they weren't on the same team, he was an angel that fell from heaven to save the earth.

there was this one time where dawn headed outside to see hanbin and gyuvin talking outside, gyuvin looked quite upset but the way hanbin talked to him was so gentle and kind. this man was a green flag, dawn never spoke to him besides the moment when hanbin talked to him but the way he spoke to people was so soft.

dawn was honestly rooting for hanbin as he deserved everything that was given to him. the performance was about to begin and dawn was honestly shaking as he knew that no matter what happened k group would win and he had to accept that.

as the music dropped, hanbin's facial expressions were splendid. dawn knew that hanbin was way better than him so he cheered for him despite being on different teams, hoetaek was such a good vocalist that everytime dawn heard his voice it was ringing in his ears.

to be honest, dawn realised that yedam suited the sub vocalist 1 position more than the killing part. he was more noticeable and had character than the other position he had, and as expected the rap line were really good, they definitely had a chance to beat them.

even though he shouldn't be cheering and smiling for them right now, dawn couldn't stop as they were so refreshing to watch. gyuvin would always catch dawn's eyes wherever he went and right now dawn couldn't stop looking at him. he looked so good on stage right now, the team noticed how quiet dawn suddenly got as just a second before he was screaming.

that's when everyone's focus changed to hoetaek as the high note was about to come, dawn knew that his voice wasn't in the right condition so it would be hard for him to reach the high note change he made. just like that he blew the whole stadium down with his vocals, dawn looked at his team and knew that it was over from that moment as they gave him the same look.

jay looked worried as dawn pat his back, even himself was worried. there was no way after that they would win, it would take a miracle if even one of us got a higher score than one of them. the crowd loved them and they were all good looking so it was impossible to win at this point.

the team right now was speechless, no one spoke a word as they didn't know if they would make it to the next round. the moment of truth was right here as the members headed to the screening room where everyone cheered for them, dawn was really worried as he was their leader and he had to lead them to victory.

he held the hand of the people next to him knowing that they needed to win so they could all make it to the next round. the position of sub vocalist two result was about to be revealed, it was either hanbin or hong hai, dawn wasn't too shocked when hanbin got a score of 138 while hong hai got 29. either way he should be proud of himself for how much he's done.

next up was sub vocalist one where anthonny was up against yedam, dawn was surprised when anthonny won with 32 points while yedam scored 13. the pattern came back as the other positions were now being dominated by the k group, such as gyuvin scoring a huge difference against haru as he scored 100. but what shocked dawn was when he got a huge score of 150 against sungmin, he couldn't believe his eyes at the moment.

he didn't know whether to cry or celebrate, he just fell into the arms of his teammates. maybe this was enough for the win, however the main vocalist position was a shock as hoetaek scored 161 while jay only scored 66. dawn wanted to give his points to jay as he didn't believe that jay scored that low.

dawn had a smile on despite the fact they had just lost but he didn't care as they all had fun. zhang hao, ollie and ricky came over as dawn hugged them tightly, they were so proud of him for standing up to k group even though he was one of the youngest.

"you did well, don't cry." hao said as ricky wiped his tears for him, dawn was so emotional right now as he wasn't upset about the loss. he was afraid of losing his team members as there was a chance they could get eliminated right now.

__

the mission had come to an end and everyone was now altogether where they could finally see their opponents, k group. all the points were now going to be added up to see which group would get the benefit, right now dawn wasn't so confident that g group would win especially since k group won most of the battles.

right now every team was getting their scores announced, dawn was already confident they lost and it was showing as they were already losing by hundreds of points. finally the results were going to show to see which group won the benefit of an extra point of 10000.

dawn closed his eyes and everyone screamed from the opposite side while the side he was on was quiet, he knew the outcome now. as expected, k group won the benefit despite losing he still clapped for the winners as he knew he did his best to try win.

everyone around him looked so upset knowing that their time here could end soon, dawn knew that there was still a chance for him to be eliminated so he was quite scared too. that's when the master reminded them of the last benefit, the audience had an another vote to choose the team that they loved the most and that team would head to m countdown. maybe dawn could win this?

"back door k group."

dawn looked around and saw their shocked expressions, he knew they deserved this as they were honestly one of the best groups that performed right then. lastly the sad news everyone didn't want to here was that the elimination ceremony was coming up soon, and only 52 were going to survive.

he couldn't believe his own eyes, 52 out of what 100? that was literally half of them, he's not good at maths but still that's just shocking. he had to be one of the 52 or else he would have to fight for his life.

will dawn survive?
