dawn couldn't believe his eyes, he walked slowly back to the waiting room where he realised jeong i chan got the highest score for his team. dawn awkwardly made his way back to his seat where it looked liked gyuvin had been waiting for so long. dawn smiled at him even though what he found out was definitely shocking, that finally hit him is that why gyuvin has been so nice to dawn?
"can i talk to you when we head back privately?" dawn asked gyuvin who agrees even though he's also quite confused, dawn just smiled when gyuvin agreed as he held onto dawn's hands when they next performance was revealed to be butterfly by bts.
dawn suddenly looked to his right where he realised that gyuvin was staring right into him, dawn chuckled and asked if there was anything wrong? gyuvin immediately turned red as he didn't realise dawn had caught him, even gyuvin himself was wondering why he felt so attracted to dawn, was he gay?
dawn wanted to tease him like how gyuvin always did but since he was in public, he knew he didn't want to embarrass gyuvin even more. he held onto gyuvin's hands and asked him if he remembered the butterfly practice.
indeed he did, during the checkup with the masters he remembered sitting with dawn as they watched team butterfly. gyuvin could smell the sweet, soft and warm scent dawn had on which prompted him to sit closer to dawn while watching the practise.
butterfly were quite close as even during the practise, they were standing so close to each other. when they were asked to do their vocal check up, dawn tried so hard not to laugh as chen kuanjui had so many airy moments while cong had some extra emotions he wanted to display but what made dawn laugh was when the master started 'moaning'
even during the dance part, kuanjui still had some airy parts which made the master control it by reminding him. dawn felt bad but it was for his own good, overall he was still good. there was one member who stuck out in particular, junseo, he was definitely the talent and had potential despite the fact that he still didn't receive much training for long.
but he lacked in confidence even though he had so much potential. he was so cute when he suddenly forgot the dance and started singing "i'm scared" everyone laughed from his cuteness and how he handled this moment.
the masters were masters for a reason, solji gave such good advice to them on how to sing better and honestly dawn took in some of it despite him not needing it. they advised him to have some confidence which dawn agreed with as junseo was definitely talented but maybe the hate got to him for being a 'dozen'
after the rehearsal check up, they all walked out to see a board. gyuvin immediately dragged dawn along to see what it was and was quite disappointed when he realised it was a board with the best and worst team, and they weren't listed as the best team. but team butterfly was listed as the best and dawn agreed, they had so much potential to win.
finally, the performance was going to start. dawn knew how hard they all worked, chen kuanjui started off the song as dawn was mesmerised with the softness of his voice and the details of the stage colour. next up was cong, dawn personally believed that he should have more publicity since his voice was so good and he was so determined to debut as well.
cong had so many emotions filled in his voice and right now dawn felt so many emotions coming from cong's voice, he could definitely be the top one to win. brian, one of the yuehuas, definitely a talent to see but lately he's been getting hate for a old video that resurfaced on how he wouldn't date indians but right now his voice was so good and smooth.
the chorus arrived and dawn suddenly heard woongki say out loud "i want to make promises!" he laughed at this. but right now, the team was doing so well and it was up to junseo to really make the team stand out more. he was doing so well until he looked stressed out and he just looked bothered by something with made him lose control of his voice.
