is practise worth it?

dawn sat next to sung hanbin and matthew as they were finally going to see what song they may perform, what scared them the most was that the fans were going to choose the songs for them so dawn was praying that the fans would be able to choose a song that represented him.

of course, the lower ranks got to see their songs first but at the same time they were probably losing hope since they were low ranks and those with the higher ranks would be able to perform it. dawn may be second place right now but over the last weeks, his rank has been dropping a lot so he was also losing a lot of hope.

"dawn, why the long face?" hanbin said as this caught the attention of the other top 9 who looked at dawn with concerning faces, they all knew how much he fell so they were worried for him right now.

"i really want to perform these songs on the stage but everyone has seen my ranks, they've dropped a lot so is practise even worth it?" hanbin knew how much dawn wanted it but right now dawn didn't seem like it.

"honestly, everyone is rooting for you to win the 28th position so right now all you need to do is practise hard and the fans will see it!" hanbin said with a comforting smile as dawn knew that he had to look strong even if he was confident that he'd be eliminated.

rank by rank, everyone got to their respective rooms and the anticipation was getting more and more overwhelming. dawn wanted to see what he got and who he would be working with so right now he prayed for the others to reach their room quicker.

right now it was only the top nine left as they all discussed what song they wanted to do, everyone seemed not shocked when they heard each others but when dawn replied with supercharger, they were all shocked and confused as he didn't look the type to be able to rap.

"actually! dawns really good at rapping, did you not see his predebut performance?" gyuvin suddenly said as the others all side eyed him, dawn was honestly holding in his laugh. yujin wanted to say something so badly so instead he whispered it to dawn.

"he's such a simp for you." dawn held in his laugh once again, but finally the top nine were able to go so dawn watched as they went one by one. at last it was just the final five, and everyone just watched as one left. dawn couldn't wait anymore so he started holding on to matthew and hanbin tightly to control himself from going insane.

right now it was just hanbin and dawn, the final two. it was dead silent in the room besides the whispers between the two of them, and at last dawn was finally called in while waving goodbye to hanbin. he slowly made his way to the elevator where he pressed level three, which was the instructor given by the staff before he entered.

"supercharger please!" dawn said to himself as the doors opened and he stepped outside where he met another pair of doors which would reveal the song chosen for him. as he knocked on the door, he could hear whispers so he opened the door to see the room dark.

"am i in the wrong room?" dawn talked to himself but as soon as he was about to leave, he felt something touching him. dawn was honestly terrified as he asked one of the staff to go in first but the staff was just laughing his ass off which made dawn roll his eyes and walk in.

but the first thing he saw when he walked in was darkness until the lights started flickering, that's when he realised he was getting pranked. the boys all jumped out and started laughing at how dawn asked the staff to enter.

"dawn hyung!" all three yujin, ollie and takuto said as they all ran towards dawn and hugged him. that's when dawn realised he was apart of the say my name team, he was disappointed as he really wanted to do supercharger but at least this would be loved by fans.

that's when woongki had an idea for the last person to enter which was obviously hanbin since they were missing a member, everyone hid behind the curtains while takuto would tell hanbin it was just the two of them.

they heard the door open as hanbin seemed shocked but dawn was trying his best not to laugh especially with takuto's horrible acting. that's when everyone ran out and immediately started celebrating.

but what dawn found even more funny was how the team was filled with majority of the top nine, this could be an advantage. finally, the planning and hard work practise was about to start as they all say in a semi circle as matthew suddenly asked who wanted to be the leader.

the funny thing was no one seemed to be volunteering for the position as everyone stayed silent, meanwhile seowon and woongki were trying to signal that dawn should do it but dawn stayed looking down the whole time.

in the corner of dawn's eyes, he could see matthew's hands slightly raising until the voice of hanbin's volunteering to become the leader. they all cheered as hanbin was given the leader badge, this may not be temporary but for now he was the leader.

dawn was given the lyrics as they were soon going to split up the groups with one group with six while one with five. hanbin suddenly asked who wanted to be sub vocalist 1, dawn wanted to be a rapper for this round so he watched as the competition started. dawn wanted for woongki for the position as he was perfect but was quite surprised when he didn't get it..

now the killing part was now about to be chosen, dawn thought that it would be selfish he went for a song's best position even though he didn't like the song, so he didn't raise his hands. since there were two killing parts, ollie and yujin were both able to capture that as they were perfect for the role of killing part.

"main rapper?" hanbin asked as dawn's hands immediately went up, some were surprised but those who had seen dawn's predebut videos expected this. dawn was shocked when no one else went for it so he immediately got the position of main rapper.

hanbin had learnt abit of the dance while the positions were being created and dawn was shocked to see how he was able to memorise it already. as he taught the choreography, dawn was struggling which was due to the lack of confidence he had. hanbin had noticed this and immediately headed towards dawn's direction.

"i can tell you are a good dancer but right now you're lacking confidence, you need to believe in yourself!" hanbin smiled as he helped dawn for sometime and even dawn himself was shocked to see how much of a good dancer he truly was, maybe he wasn't so bad after all.

but dawn wondered if practice would be worth it since he was predicted to be leaving..
