"What the hell are you doing?" Minho questioned, looking at his best friend with annoyed eyes as he sucked on his neck and collarbone to leave marks.
"Making you look presentable. Gotta make it look like you were actually occupied." Hyunjin snickered, satisfied with his work.
The two then got into the car and drove to the JJ's. Minho was beyond annoyed, getting interrupted in the middle of the night to see the man he despised.
"Sunghoon tells to hurry." A girl spoke from the backseat.
"Wow, really? I thought we had the entire night." Said Hyunjin, sounding annoyed. "Can't believe you're my sister."
"Oh shut it, asshole." Yeji said, rolling her eyes.
The moment they arrived, Minho was sneaked in through the back door.
"Goodluck." Hyunjin waved, earning the finger from Minho.
"Took you long enough." Sunghoon approached him. "That man was getting impatient."
"I can't believe I'm here again." Minho groaned.
"Drop the attitude mister, you have a client to trap in your charms." Sunghoon said.
"If boss didn't tell me to do this, I'd be sleeping in my room. Peacefully." Said Minho.
"You mean that dark themed demonic apartment that came straight out of a horror movie? Sure." Sunghoon shrugged as the two teacher the floor where Jisung was.
"Why does everyone say the same thing?" Minho mumbled.
"Truth tastes bitter, honey." Said Sunghoon.
The two soon approached the Hyacinth men, with Minho behind Sunghoon.
"He's here, sir."
Jisung looked up from his drink, taking in the sight of the man that intrigued him.
His eye slightly twitched as he noticed a mark on the boy's neck.
Minho looked at the floor, totally feeling Han's eyes on him. He was annoyed, even more so now that he had to face the guy.
But unfortunately, he had a mission to work on. What he did today would benefit him greatly. He couldn't mess this up.
He sighed, not realising that Jisung had gotten up and walked towards him and was now standing barely a few inches away.
"Let's go." Jisung said, pulling the older with him.
Minho hadn't once looked at the younger, and he planned to keep it that way for as long as he could.
The two made their way towards the elevator once again, this time the silence being even more awkward than before.
Wordlessly, Jisung grabbed the older's arm and pulled him to the room.
He kept glancing at the pretty boy, kind of worried because he wasn't even looking up, nor saying anything else.
It only made him wonder if the person who gave him those marks did something to him. He remembered how the older had shut his eyes as a painful look came on his face when Jisung had him under his hold on the bed.
For some reason, he found himself getting more and more concerned. He had only seen the boy once before, but for some reason, he found himself caring.
More than he usually does for anyone else.
He shut and locked the door behind him, still pulling Minho by his arm towards the bed.
"Why aren't you looking at me?" Jisung said with such gentleness in his voice that he even surprised himself.
Minho didn't reply and just kept looking at the floor. He knew that if he looked at the other man, he wouldn't be able to hold back his anger.
"Look at me." Jisung said, more firmly this time.
When Minho didn't oblige, Jisung held his chin and made him face up.
"What's wrong?" Jisung whispered.
"Why does it matter to you? Just use me and get over with this." The bluntness in his tone surprised Jisung.
The Hyacinth leader sighed. "I'm not here for that today."
"Then why...?" Minho asked, sounding hesitant.
"Do you hate this place, Minho?"
Han Jisung, you're going to be the reason of your own death.
"Yes," Minho breathed.
"Would you want to get out of here, if given the chance?" Jisung asked softly.
Minho took a deep breath, feeling hesitant for a second.
Just a second.
"Yes." He said, his voice a mere whisper.
That was enough for Jisung.
The boy in front of him looked so fragile, so vulnerable that he got the sudden urge to protect him. He pulled the older close to his chest, wrapping his arms around him.
"You'll be safe with me." Jisung whispered.
Minho's earlier eyes filled with fake emotion disappeared as a blank look came on his face when he didn't have to maintain the eye contact anymore. His hand reached to his back to grab a venomous dagger.
His conscious was screaming at him to kill the younger right then and there. His bloodthirsty, disgusting and monstrous side was coming out.
Jisung on the other hand stroked his hair and closed his eyes.
Now was the perfect oppertunity. Minho could end his enemy right then and there. There would be no need to go to such lengths to bring him back to his boss.
He tightened his grip on the weapon, shutting his eyes as he prepared to strike.
"I won't let anyone touch you, Minho. I promise you that." Jisung suddenly said, making Minho freeze.
He was having an internal battle with himself as his head was pressed against Jisung's chest.
He could hear the younger's heart beat, which was calm and peaceful. He would be the one to silence that peaceful sound, if he took out his dagger.
But it didn't matter, because he had killed various people in his life. Killing someone else wasn't that much of a big deal.
He was already a monster.
Suddenly, his grip loosened on the weapon as the face of his mentor flashed before his eyes.
It would disappoint Seonjae, Minho knew that. He wanted to kill the younger man so much, but he couldn't pay the cost of disappointing the only person he could call family now.
He couldn't do that to his saviour, the man who gave him a second chance at life.
"Thank you," Minho said instead, placing the dagger back in it's place.
He didn't realise how his actions would make him fall into something he would never be able to get out of that day.
Maybe if he had killed Jisung right then and there, then maybe... he could've avoided all the pain that came along with that decision.
If only fate allowed him to escape...
But was he willing to?
