Calmness. Serenity. Happiness.

That's what Minho felt when he woke up in Jisung's arms the next morning.

"Morning, beautiful." Jisung's sleepy voice hit his ears as the younger pulled him closer, nuzzling his neck.

"Morning," Minho said softly, closing his eyes to make the moment last as long as it could.

"I wish every morning is like this," Jisung muttered against Minho's neck, sending a tingle down Minho's spine.

Minho's heart clenched in pain as the guilt of his intentions weighed down on him, making him unable to form a reply. However, he decided to swallow down the lump in his throat.

"Me too." He said, trying to keep his voice as cheerful as he could.

Jisung lifted himself up to rest on his elbow, slightly bending down to press a kiss against Minho's forehead.

"You know, I never thought you could be such a gentle person when we first met." Minho chuckled, closing his eyes to relish the feeling.

"Well, the conditions under which we met weren't exactly desirable," Jisung said. "Though I'm thankful it happened, or you wouldn't be here next to me right now."

"I'm surprised though," Jisung continued. "It always felt like you were running away from me... When did you realise you liked me?"

Minho tried to form a sentence, but suddenly paused.

When did he realise?

Jisung chuckled at his loss of words. "It's okay, we have all the time in the world to figure out things like that. Let's just go slow, hm? I've... I've never felt like this with anyone before, and it's a little scary, to be honest."

Minho squeezed his hand reassuringly, suppressing the fact that guilt was eating him up everytime he looked at Jisung.

I wish, Jisung. I wish we had all the time in the world.

The dried up leaves crunched under the man's feet as he walked towards the cemetery, familiar surroundings filling him up with emotion.

"It's been a long time since my last visit, huh?" He said, sitting down in front of the mud that buried someone he could never forget. He placed some yellow chrysanthemums near the grave, staying silent for a while until he spoke up.

"Lee... You should've been alive right now." The man laughed bitterly. "You should've been alive to see what your son chose to do."

The freezing winds blew, making it hard for anyone to be outside at that moment. However, the man didn't budge.

"Your son made the wrong choices, and now he's going to pay for that."

"Hyunjin... Are you alright?" Seungmin asked carefully as he walked towards Hyunjin, the older sitting on a bench with his head in his hands.

"Yeah, it's just... I'm worried about Minho." He sighed.

"Weren't you and Seonmi going to do something about it?"

"I mean, yeah, but I don't think it's going to work. Minho... he's never alone. We can't guard him without being suspicious."

Seungmin nodded in understanding, placing a hand over his shoulder.

So what Hyunjin rejected him again? At the moment, the older needed someone, and Seungmin was just making sure he wasn't alone.

The two sat in the park peacefully, both dreading the future, even though it was for different reasons.

Suddenly, Hyunjin's phone rang.

"Seonmi? What's up?" He asked, picking up the phone.

"Hyunjin... Hyunjin please come to the base, and if Seungmin is with you, bring him as well." She said, her voice sounding distressed.

"Wait, what happened?" Hyunjin asked, a pit forming in his stomach.

"I can't explain over the phone.. please hurry up." She sounded like she was crying.

Worried, Hyunjin immediately reassured her and turned to look at Seungmin.

"Seungmin... We need to go."

The two males darted across the halls as they made way towards Jang's office, the place where Seonmi called them. As they knocked, Mina opened the door, her face a little more grim than usual.

"What's wrong?" Hyunjin asked the moment he spotted Seonmi on the couch. The girl didn't respond, and just pointed towards her father who sat in his chair.

"Mr Jang? Is everything alright?" Seungmin asked worriedly. The leader didn't say anything and motioned towards a few pictures lying on his table.

With exchanged looks, Seungmin and Hyunjin made way towards Jang's table and picked up the pictures, a gasp escaping Hyunjin's lips as he took in everything.

"Is that... Is that..."

"Minho, yes it's him." Seonjae said, his voice filled with frustration. "What's wrong with him? Kissing Han in the public? Is he trying to get himself killed?"

Seungmin stared at the pictures in shock, a question leaving his mouth on its own.

"Seonmi, were these the pictures taken by your men?"

Seonmi shook her head, a look of annoyance on her face.

"No... We received these this morning, and we have no idea who sent these. It's impossible to track." Mina replied in her place.

"What?" Hyunjin asked, his eyes wide. "No... Someone couldn't possibly have found out Minho is the viper?" His voice quivered.

He looked at the pictures again, praying he was just imagining the look of pure love on Minho's face. He just hoped it was good acting, no matter how passionate they looked in that moment.

His gut feeling was telling him something else, though.

"No, atleast not for now," Seonjae sighed. "But we need Minho to work quickly, he doesn't have much time left before something bad happens."

"Mr Jang... When you say bad, what do you mean?" Seungmin asked.

The older took a deep breath, shutting his eyes as the words escaped his lips.

"Before Minho loses his life. Or worse, gets captured by the enemies."

Seonmi cried out, Mina barely holding her back. "And yet you're not going to do anything to bring him back? How heartless can you be, dad?"

"Seonmi, don't interfere in things that don't concern you."

"But it concerns me! I love him, dad. And I swear to god, if something happens to him I'm not holding back from bringing him to safety myself." She said before storming out of Seonjae's office.

"Mina, keep an eye on her so she doesn't end up doing something that brings all of us down." Said the leader, his eyes holding a fraction of annoyance, but he composed himself well.

"And as for Minho, get him to do his work properly, it's been over a week since we've received anything."

Just in that moment, Hyunjin's phone beeped as a message came, his eyes widening as he saw the sender's name.

"Mr Jang... I think, I think we can get to Minho now..." He said, his voice trailing off as he read the text.

"What do you mean?"
