Chapter 72: Unraveled Truths
His affirmation came as a passionate outpouring, his words cascading over me like a relentless wave. "I love you, Emily. I've been in love with you for so long, I just couldn't understand my feelings. I'm crazy about you; you're my everything, Em. I love you." His voice was fervent, laden with a raw emotion that resonated deep within my soul.
It was this fervor, this unspoken promise of unyielding love, that propelled me into his arms. The intensity of our embrace was primal and unreserved. As I fervently kissed Luke, he responded with equal fervor, hoisting me up against the wall. My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist, anchoring me to him, to this moment.
Our passionate exchange was a testament to the feelings we had long suppressed, now exploding with an urgency that could no longer be contained. Moans of desire escaped my lips, blending with Luke's, as he pressed his aroused body against mine.
Each touch, each kiss, was a declaration, an acknowledgment of the love we had just laid bare. Breathing heavily, caught in the throes of passion, I momentarily pulled back, my voice laced with desire yet echoing his earlier confession, "Say it again."
With a gaze full of longing, Luke complied, "I fucking love you, Emily." Each utterance was like a jolt to my heart, setting it ablaze with passion. "I fucking love you too, Luke. More than you know," I murmured in response.
His voice, husky with desire, urged, "Say it again, and tell me you're mine."
"I love you, Luke, and I'm all yours," I affirmed, my words dripping with fervor. He kissed me deeply, his lips tracing a heated path down my neck, his whispers filled with explicit promises of the ecstasy that awaited us at home. The tension between us was tangible, a palpable hunger that demanded to be sated.
I chuckled, feeling his unmistakable hardness pressing against me. "Looks like we've got something to take care of," I teased, glancing down.
With a wicked grin, Luke agreed, "Hell yeah, we do."
After he gently set me down, we held hands, ready to leave for his car. That's when reality intruded - we couldn't leave Sebastian in his drunken state.
"Luke, we've got to grab Sebastian first. We can't just leave him here," I insisted.
"Why the hell not? I'm still itching to kick his ass for touching you," Luke grumbled, his protective nature flaring up.
Firm yet compassionate, I pressed, "Come on, Luke. He's your brother, and he's clearly going through some tough shit. Let's find him."
Luke cast me a look that mingled annoyance with understanding, and we turned back to hunt for Sebastian.
After a fruitless search inside the club, we found him in the parking lot, smoking alone - a sight that was as unexpected as it was concerning.
"Go sort it out with him, Luke. He's your brother, and he needs you," I prodded.
Luke gave me a quick, intense kiss before approaching Sebastian. I watched their distant figures, unable to make out the words but seeing the gradual easing of tension.
A few minutes later, I witnessed a moment of reconciliation as Luke and Sebastian came together in a rough, yet heartfelt, brotherly embrace. Their actions spoke volumes, signaling a bridge mended after years of strained silence. As they turned and started walking back towards me, a semblance of peace seemed to settle over the trio of us.
But this fleeting moment of harmony was abruptly shattered. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of an ominous figure emerging from the darkness. The stark, chilling sight of a man brandishing a gun cut through the night's calm..
