Chapter 41: Our Paradise
As the afternoon melted away in the warmth of our embrace, neither of us made any move to return to the office. We spent the remaining hours lost in conversation and comfortable naps, wrapped in the cocoon of our newfound intimacy. By the time 6 pm rolled around, the building had quieted down, most employees having left for the day. We took the elevator down to the underground parking, making our way to his penthouse together – or rather, ours now.
Stepping into the penthouse, I was met with a familiar yet transformed space. My belongings were already neatly organized, and splashes of color had been added throughout the rooms. "I thought a bit of color might make it feel more like home for you," he explained with a chuckle. "Feel free to change anything you like, just leave my home office as is."

The bathroom was a sight to behold – a spacious area adorned with elegant marble and fine fixtures. A large jacuzzi tub sat invitingly, promising evenings of relaxation. The shower was a work of art, equipped with multiple jets and a rain showerhead, creating the feeling of a private spa. Every detail, from the plush towels to the intricately designed tiles, exuded luxury and careful thought.
As I explored the bathroom, my eyes caught the gleam of high-end bath products lined neatly on the shelves, and a large walk-in closet filled with an array of bathrobes and slippers. The mirror was framed with soft lighting, casting a flattering glow across the room.
"This place... it's incredible," I murmured, unable to hide my astonishment.
He wrapped his arms around me from behind, his voice soft in my ear. "It's ours now, Emily. Every inch of this place is for us to make memories in."
As I leaned back into his embrace, I realized how surreal this all felt .
