"Okay, I got it. I'll be careful of the old monsters," Blackie said, then continued, "But if it's dangerous, why don't you come with me? Maybe your master talked about you someday."

When Blackie had learned I was nouveau riche and had been just like him the year before, he'd asked how I knew about these things. I told him an old master had lived next to us before passing away one day.

"I said he wasn't my master; he just knew things and found me interesting, so he told me about them. And I will be very busy this month with my parents and the company. As I told you, they came with me this year after I won the lottery, and I've been tiring them out instead of letting them relax or retire. But they managed to break through to the Refinement Realm with the potions and now have too much energy to relax, apparently. Hahahahaha!" I laughed, remembering their smiling faces these days after the breakthrough.

"Okay, good luck. I'll call you from time to time to make sure you're still training," I continued.
"Okay, see you," Blackie said as he got out of the car and went to the station, as he would spend some time at home before beginning his task.

Days passed, and the day I was waiting for arrived—the day the shareholder who wanted to sell his shares made his move. I was still training in Instructor Yu's area. I had met him when I first applied and told him I just needed a place to train for the school and city fighting competitions. At first, he thought I was some rich kid who didn't know his place and objected that I might hurt myself, which would reflect poorly on him if someone found out I trained alone without supervision. So, I fought him, and when I won easily, he thought I was from an ancient family who had become an Internal Force expert. Not wanting to get on my bad side, he didn't tell anyone, and I paid him some money to keep quiet.

Today, however, he came in a hurry without knocking.
"Master Feng, I think the Center will close in the future! I heard a major shareholder wants to sell, so it would be a good idea to look for another place."

He was extremely grateful to me, as people thought he had trained the city champion, and I had sparred with him, helping his growth and making him one of the strongest instructors.
"Oh, tell me about it," I asked, despite knowing the answer. He then told me everything he knew.
"Okay, can you take me to the board members? I may be able to solve this," I said, getting ready to buy the shares.

He took me to Mister Xiao Yu's office, where I also saw Liang Jing outside with a worried face.
"May I help you?" she asked when she noticed us coming her way. We said we wanted to meet Mister Xiao Yu about the shareholder who was leaving.

After some talk with the board members, they agreed to let me buy in, and I got a seat on the board. The most important thing was that I bought the largest share in the center—38%—for only 6 billion credits. The buyer who had gotten afraid of Starlink and ended the cooperation with Zero Wing wouldn't appear this time. I still offered to renovate the place and install some new special training facilities for an additional 13% of the company, but they refused, saying they didn't need it. I knew they were right because the center wasn't at full capacity yet—the hype would begin in 8 months—but I also made the offer to signal my intention to eventually acquire more than 51%.

After a month, the auction day finally arrived. The day I had been waiting and preparing for was here, and I was truly nervous. Owning the island versus not owning it made a huge difference. The island was sold for 21 billion credits, and people thought it was overpriced, but the guy who bought it last time, thinking about renovating it into a beach resort, had literally struck a gold mine. He sold it to Starlink for 195 billion, meaning a nearly 1000% pure profit if I just sold it. But I wouldn't do that, because Starlink had relied on that mine alone to make Zero Wing miserable in real life for a long time, until I became a Grandmaster Tier 6 God and got my revenge. But not this time.

"Okay everyone, the auction for the island will start now. The starting price is 10 billion, and every bid must be increased by no less than 1 billion," the official said.

I started the bid with a 5 billion increase and watched people's expressions for any foul play, but I didn't notice anything as someone else increased the bid. Slowly, it got to 20 billion, and the guy who bought it last time increased by another one. I looked at him and told myself, Sorry, but I can't let you sell it to Starlink like last time.

"22 billion," I said. People started looking strangely at me and the other bidder. They began to think there was something wrong with us, as 20 billion would take a long time to recoup, and investing more was risky.

The man hesitated for a while, feeling that 21 billion was already enough and that it would be too risky if the bid increased further. Finally, he decided to give up.

"Congratulations, sir, for winning the bid. Please come this way to complete the procedures," said the official with a weird look on his face, though his voice was slightly enthusiastic.

I remained calm outwardly, but inwardly I was dancing with joy. This was my ticket to becoming at least a super first-rate guild at the beginning of the game. It would give me the background I needed to work with others on equal footing in real life and allow me to focus my complete attention on God's Domain.

When I remembered how hard I worked at the beginning of my second life just to make ends meet, and how Starlink still cornered us, cutting off over 80% of our credits just by using their influence, I sent a silent thanks to Aqua Rose and Gentle Snow, who had insisted I study finance. That knowledge had enabled me to acquire this island.
