"Draco, gave you that? Draco, Draco? Draco Malfoy??" Hermione asked, absolutely flabbergasted. With a smile, I nodded.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool isn't it?" I said as we both admired the ring in our dorm.
Hermione sat up, "Well, you know what this means y/n. He totally likes you," she had a stupidly large grin on her face.
I had been sitting cross legged on my bed in my pyjamas, Hermione laying on her stomach across the bottom half of it.
"You think?" I asked, quite unsure as to what to make of the situation. I was still fiddling with the ring.
"Oh for sure," she nodded, looking convinced, "Sooo? What are you gonna do about it?" she added teasingly.
I laughed slightly, "I don't think i'm gonna make any moves... I'm not exactly looking for another relationship at the moment..."
Hermione thumped the back of my head playfully, "Don't be daft y/n. It's Draco. He's not gonna be looking for something serious. I think it'd be something fun to try... get your mind off you know whoooo.
I rolled my eyes at her implication of Harry, "I don't wanna toy with him, Mione."
"You're wont be toying with him!" she exclaimed, slumping herself down, "You both won't want any labels or stuff like that. Try it out, please? I'm sure it'll help."
I sighed and shuffled under my duvet, "I still dunno... I'll sleep on it maybe."
"Aw alright," Hermione said, disappointed. She climbed into her own bed.
Honey was cuddled in a ball at the foot of my bed and Crookshanks was doing the same on Hermione's bed.
"Night Y/n. Love yaaaa," Hermione said as she leaned over to turn the lamp off.
"Love you too, Mione," I replied as I manoeuvred into a comfortable position, "Goodnight."

Within the weeks to come, all anyone could talk about was the Triwizard Tournament. To my surprise, Cedric was a favoured contender. On this particular morning, I was eating my breakfast with him.
"You never told me you were actually interested in entering this thing?" I said as I took a mouthful of eggs. Cedric was gobbling his cereal.
"Yeah... it was a recent decision... I took it for shits and gigs, you know? But people seem to really think I've got what it takes," Cedric said with a shrug and mouthful of cereal.
"I hope you know what you're getting yourself into, Ced... this thing is dangerous," I warned as I buttered my toast.
Cedric stopped eating his cereal and glared at me, "thanks mom," he rolled his eyes and teased, "I know I know... and honestly, I think I would be fine."
"...Mk" I replied, not convinced in the slightest.
There was a silence that followed. I didn't want Cedric to enter the tournament, but he was definitely not going to listen to me.
"Entires open tomorrow for the cup... I'm planning on putting my name in," he said way too nonchalantly for my liking. I sucked my teeth, wanting to change the topic.
"So, why did you want to have breakfast with me?" I asked, ignoring his previous statement.
He slurped up the remaining milk in his bowl; He really did eat every meal as if it were his last, "I need advice," he said.
I looked at him with a skeptical expression, "You want advice, from me?"
He sighed and nodded, leaning forward toward me on the table, his arms resting on it, "Listen, im sorry to bring it up, but you and Harry had a good thing going last year. I wanted to ask..." he sighed, "how he asked you out...? So i know what to do for Cho. Please," he added.
