Dear Cedric,
Is it true you're lonely?
In the weeks to come after the nightmare I'd had about Cedric that had landed me in Harry's bed, more had inevitably come.
Though that specific night's one stuck.
"You should talk to me more. I get lonely," were his words to me.
Dead people can't feel lonely, I constantly reminded myself, but still. What if they could?
They can't. But...?
This persistent argument in my own head was what led me to try the journaling again.
However it'd gone to shit when I realised that dead people can't reply to questions either.
I sucked on my teeth as I tapped my quill against the page in thought.
I made the Quidditch team.
I stared at the words I'd just scribbled. What else could I say?
"You done with the homework, love?" Harry asked from my bed. In truth, I'd finished ages ago. The thing really stumping me was the challenge between my head and the pages of this journal.
I sighed softly, "Mhm," I replied as I ultimately shut the journal and put it away.
Speaking of the Quidditch trials, Harry had had more than a spring in his step since. If I'd known how happy it made him, I'd have joined much earlier.
I packed away my things completely before I slumped down onto my bed, on top of Harry. He smiled, kissed the top of my head and started playing with my hair.
Honey was keeping a good distance away, licking her paws on the comfort of Hermione's bed.
"I do think she's being a little dramatic," he said as we both watched her.
"Harry... she's still pink," I laughed softly. "Does your other girlfriend not have a spell to fix her?"
Harry rolled his eyes, "No, the Half Blood Prince doesn't have a spell that can fix her," he laughed.
"And I could ask you the same thing," he added.
"Huh?"
"Does your other boyfriend have a solution?"
To which I groaned and Harry laughed.
I'd been receiving random bouquets of flowers over the last few days as well, much to Harry's annoyance.
"I can't control it," I counter, "if I knew who it was then maybe. But I don't... And it's probably just someone fucking with me in all honesty."
"Wouldn't the joke be unfunny by now, though? It's been a good two weeks. When I find that —"
"Let's not talk about that anymore," I laughed and brought my face closer to his, "I only have eyes for you, Harry."
Harry's lips had hardly touched mine when he pulled away again, "I do have a question for the bloke though."
I groaned playfully, still smiling, "That being?"
