Zoe's POV

Three flights were here today. Ryker's and Garyon's flight was here. I see Conner, my father's friend and my old flight member standing in the crowd ready to fight with me along with a few other refugees. We had an army ready for battle. Conner looked at me proud. I was going to lead as a dragoness and lord of my flight. Everything was hanging on the line. "Thank you all for bravely joining me today," said Ryker, cutting through my thoughts and the crowd.

"Noah has attacked our dragon flight with the help of Matyas, the traitor. With Lord Garyon, our ally, we have the numbers to defeat Noah" said Ryker using his dragon voice. The crowd cheered with excitement. "Noah doesn't know we're coming. So stay quiet and follow our signals. We're faster and stronger than Noah. We will win this war tonight" said Ryker. He turns to me with a nod. The crowd turns to me with expectant expressions.

I lift my head and look at the crowd. I felt nervous like I couldn't speak until the words found me. I breathed in and took a loud sigh knowing what had to be said. "Today we declare war with Noah. We defeated many enemies and traitors but we will not stop until there is peace. As dragon mates and Lords we will not go down without a fight. Revenge will be served to those who thought they could outwit us. We are more than dragons and today on that field we will show no mercy for those who betrayed us" I said looking at the crowd below me.

"Fight with me dragon flights as we are more than brothers and sisters today we are brothers in arms now join me on this battlefield as we save one flight and rip one apart" I said as the crowd cheered even louder than before. "As your Lords we have full faith in you" said Ryker. The crowd roars with adrenaline as they run through the forest. Ryker looks at me with concern. "We've got a long battle ahead of us" said Ryker unease. It's evening by the time we arrive in my old territory.

Noah's dragons are on patrol. We easily move past them and into the secret passage that will lead us into our dungeon. Once we got into the dungeon we encountered two of Noah's guards. I take out my knife and slice the first one across the throat. Before the other guard even sees me coming, I throw my knife, hitting him in the heart. "Nice, Zoe," said Ryker. We sneak through the dungeon when Aiden moves to the left and hits a trip wire. The alarm sounds, alerting all to our presence. "Run to the main floor. Lord Garyon will attack from the outside" I yelled.

"Stay behind me, Zoe," said Ryker. He steps in front of me as I move through the main living room. Noah's drawings attack us from all angles. I pull out my gun and shoot two in the head. Ryker rips another's throat out before shooting three more. "On your left" I yell. Me and Ryker fight our way through his guards. "I don't see Noah. Is he hiding?" I asked. Then my hair stands on end, and I turn and see Noah standing with Matyas. "Matyas, you're a little bitch for betraying me to Noah" said Ryker. "I won't be a bitch when I kill you" growled Matyas.

Matyas attacks Ryker. Ryker grabs him by the neck, and they fall to the ground. Noah rounds on me. I get in a defensive position, ready for any hit from him. "I knew you'd come for me, Zoe. It's obvious you miss me" said Noah. "you're the most annoying dragon on the planet," I scoff. Noah growls at my comment. "When I kill you, everyone will thank me for doing the planet such a good service" I said, egging him on. I step back so he can't get a quick hit in.

"Attacking was a mistake. You don't have a chance" said Noah. Lord Garyon;s members break down the front door and swarm in. Noah looks at them with shock. "Kill Noah and take the house" yelled Lord Garyon. "Retreat" yelled Noah, surprised. "Oh no you don't. There's no way out for you" I said. The fight turns in my favor as Noah's guards fall one by one. As soon as the dragons from my old flight see me and Ryker fighting Noah, they join in on our side.

Ryker has Matyas pinned on the ground. He smashes his fist into Matyas's face. "Stop Ryker. You're going to kill me" begged Matyas. "Just like you tried to kill me multiple times, only you're a failure," said Ryker. Without hesitation Ryker snaps Matyas's neck. "No" called out Noah. Noah looks on in horror as Matyas dies. He realizes his whole plan to kill me, and Ryker is crumbling. Noah lunges at me, enraged, with nothing to lose. I dodge left, but he keeps coming.

"If I'm going to lose, at least I can kill you first," said Noah. Noah tries to kick my legs out from under me, but I jump over him. I sink low and uppercut Noah's nuts. He jumps back with a pained roar. "You nasty bitch. I should've known you'd fight dirty" insulted Naoh. "Me? You've betrayed everyone, you asshole" I said in anger. Ryker stands a few feet away, fending off Noah's guards so I'm free to fight Noah. "Kill him, Zoe," said Ryker, blocking me from harm.

Noah pulls out his knife and runs at me. I dodge the knife and Noah runs past me. Just as I was about to attack him, a pain I recognized struck me. I felt my body tense as my bones stiffened. I begin to feel lightheaded and begin to sway. Why am I feeling like this now? When was the last time I felt like this? Then everything goes black as I pass out.
