Saphira's POV.

Just as I kept dancing I was looking straight ahead trying to find my mate. What he does to me with just being in a room so close to me I could sense him. Just then I felt eyes on me but they weren't enemy eyes. They were full of admiration. It was him.

My eyes stayed on his as soon as I saw red eyes looking back at me. "What you do to me" I mouthed as the girls I was dancing with twirled as I stayed looking at him. He mouthed something back to me but I had no sense of what it was. Him being here made me feel like lightning was stucking my every movement to him.

I started to walk to him just to get closer. He was walking towards me but a girl grabbed my hand and spun me. My body stops and I am faced towards him not caring what could happen. Claude's threats didn't scare me. It was like we were swimming through a sea to reach one another. I felt even more excited.

Just then his hand reached out for me to grab. I felt my fingers touch the tips of his. I felt the sensation of pleasure rush through me. From the very first time we loved came from the very first time we touched. It was the connection I read but it was indescribable. Walking on thin ice was what I called it as more people began to join in. We were tied to each other like wires.

Power lines that made me feel strong being around him. My veins filled with copper couldn't withstand this. Just then my mate put his hand on my back. It was like he was trying to put his body on top of mine. I wrapped my arms around him and hid my face from others. Sparks and electricity were going everywhere. He lifted me up, making me feel like I was in heaven and the stars above.

Riven's POV

Lord of mercy I was begging you please let me stay with her. I was feeling drained but I found love. My mate. Placing her down on her feet she charged me up with electricity. She was jumpstarting my heart with her love. She needed me to rescue her. I knew all along she did need me. I was glad I came if she had been calling me. Her yellow eyes were stunning.

There was an energy when she held me and touched me that felt so powerful. I can feel it because it's so powerful. My mate looked gorgeous. I could tell she was weak and it made me angry from what I think they might have done to her by now. Looking closer at her I could see pain as if she was showing it to me. Her eyes were so hopeful that it embodied me.

Saphira's POV

I couldn't leave if I wanted to. I wanted to stay dancing with my mate forever. Something keeps making me turn back to him. We had to leave now but I couldn't. The stroke of his fingers on my back and that scent of his lingers. My mind is running wild. My thoughts were on his smile. He was so admirable. "Saphira," I said introducing myself. His red eyes flashed at me.

"Riven," he said. He was so devilish. I wanted him to give me some but he could give it all to me but it's never enough. His touch was all I craved. It wasn't enough. I wanted him inside me. He held me closer to his chest. I rested my head on him as I heard his loud heartbeat. He was nervous, it was adorable.

Riven's POV

The moment she rested her head on me the more I fell in love with her. Her brown highlighted hair was so pretty. I just wanted to keep her safe. Sure I had a plan of leaving Lisette's rules and helping dragons being in their own individual groups but with my mate, Saphira. I wanted nothing more than to protect her. I had to see her again and now I know her name.

Saphira's POV

Holding me in his arms. Was what I felt kept me stronger. Burning of fire and electricity. When he was close I felt the sparks. This takes me higher than ever before. It was just like we were here for infinity. The smile I had on my face was bigger than it ever has been in my life. Riven may have had an obsession with finding me. It would have been unhealthy for both of us if he didn't stop looking for me. I held him tighter.

I was overwhelmed with the feeling of power and electricity. It was like I was stronger and faster. I was full of life again. Riven grabbed my hand and we left the stage. We made it so we could stay hidden from walking out of here together. Druids we're on high alert. I was still feeling nauseous and the copper in my system but it wasn't as overwhelming as my mate being here holding my hand and guiding me out.

"No way out of here yet" said Riven. I was too focused on looking at him. "Can I know anything about you?" I asked him. He looked at me confused. He thought of it for a moment. "I made an oath to never fall in love and tonight I failed," he said, giving me a smile. I mean I wasn't hurt but I didn't expect him to be so bold.

I just learned that Riven has taken an oath to never love and here he is telling me he has. My face turned tomato red. I watched as he held my hand tighter and I got more nervous. "Anything I should know about you?" He asked me as he covered my body out of sight. He had me between him and a beam. I didn't even know what to say I was stunned to speak.
