Zoe's POV

"Yes we will take back your flight and save your people from Emily and Noah's lies. But after that I want us to stay together. I'm not sure if that means merging our flights but all I know is you're my mate and I can't be apart from you" said Ryker, kissing my forehead. I stare into his gorgeous stormy blue eyes as he waits for me to answer. "I want to be with you evermore" I said happily wanting this just as much.

"But how can we make our enemy flights work together?" I asked. I wanted to be a part of both worlds. "It may take years for my flight to trust me again" I said. I knew with Ryker around it would be even longer. "You can't be suggesting we stay apart?" Asked Ryker. "We're true mates" he said strongly. "I don't want to be apart. I'm desperate to be around you all the time" I said, telling him the truth.

"I'm afraid when things are so uncertain" I said. "I understand," said Ryker, holding me in his arms. "I'm happy here with you right now. My chained dragon for evermore" I said happier than I have ever been. "Good because I'm happy with you and I'm not letting you go. I'm going to be your partner forever" said Ryker, smiling. Our eyes lock and a powerful energy passes between us. I feel as if my body and Ryker's body have merged. "Do you feel that?" Asked Ryker.

"Yes I feel so much stronger" I said shocked. "It's our bond. It's increased our strength" said Ryker. Holding Ryker's gaze I use our combined energy to pull on our chain. It loosens an inch. Ryker does the same. The chains loosen enough for Ryker's lips to touch mine. "Kiss me Zoe" said Ryker, starving for my touch. I open my mouth desperate for Ryker's kiss. He groans as his velvet tongue sweeps in dueling with mine.

I kiss him with as much intensity and our strength increases more. Ryker's chains loosen another inch. He pulls back in shock. "Our skin to skin contact is making me stronger. I bet we can use the mate bond to get out of these chains" said Ryker overjoyed. I try to use our connection and it leaves us. Something didn't feel right. It was a burst of energy out of nowhere. We both sigh loudly since we thought we were so close.

Ryker leans his head back against the wall and I close my eyes. He quickly falls asleep. I try to sleep but I can't seem to calm my mind. Hours later Ryker wakes up and Conner's cousin still hasn't come to rescue us. "How much longer Ryker?" I asked since the plan was for Conner's cousin to rescue us. "He should have been here by now. I hope something didn't go wrong" said Ryker. Suddenly the doors open and a guard enters. I recognize him as Conner's cousin.

Blake immediately uncuffs me and Ryker. "Conner asked me to help you. Come, we need to be quick about this" said Blake. "Are you coming with us?" I asked. "No, I need to stay here," said Blake. "Thank you Blake, your loyalty will not be forgotten" I said. "No, thank you Zoe. I know you didn't kill your father, There are many more people here on your side than are on Noah's" said Blake as he finished with the chains.

"They're just afraid to speak out because anyone who supported your father has been called a traitor and banned" continued Blake. "I appreciate you saying that. Please let them know I'm not giving up on them. I'll be back to kill Noah and Emily and restore our flight to its original glory" I said wanting that more than anything. Blake turns to Ryker with a sigh.

"Okay. Now I need you to punch and chain me so they don't know I helped you" said Blake. Ryker punches Blake. He takes the punch like a champ and then sits in the dungeon. Ryker cuffs him. "The best way out is the back way through the secret tunnels" said Blake with a black eye and bleeding nose. "I don't know where that is. Conner didn't want me to know in case I was questioned" said Blake leaning on the wall.

"I remember. Thank you for your help" I said thankful. Ryker gives Blake a nod. Then I led him out into the hall. As soon as I walked into the hall we were approached by two of Noah's guards. "How did you get out?" asked the guard. They couldn't alert the guards already. I reach out and kick the guard closest to me in the groin. He falls to his knees with a groan.The other guard raises a hand to punch me but I punch him in the throat. I reach out and snap his neck. The guard I kick tries to stand but I sweep his feet out from under him knocking him to the ground.

"Finish him Zoe" said Ryker. I slam the guard's head into the ground, killing him instantly. "I love how good of a fighter you are," said Ryker with a raised brow. As we keep walking another group of guards walks by. Ryker pushes me into a dark corner. He holds me close as I calm my breath hoping not to be caught. The guards pass and I let out a relieved breath. Ryker's staring down at me like he wants to kiss me. Leaning closer I pull Ryker's head down to mine. He takes my lips in a hot searing kiss. Pushing me deeper into the corner his hands move over my body.

Then he pulls back. "I can't wait to get you to safety and have you all to myself again" said Ryker. I couldn't wait either. I wanted to be back home with Ryker. We continued our journey to find the secret tunnels so that we could get out of here. I knew Ryker was determined to get me to safety. I knew we had to get out and warn everyone in his flight there may be an attack soon.
