Wolves were everywhere, some were dead and others were barley alive. Max's white and brown wolf dashed in front of us, his fur was stained with blood. I felt Micheal grip my hand tighter. I spared a glance at him and noticed he was no longer smiling.
He looked angry and devastated at the same time. Feelings over took me but they weren't mines, they were Micheal's. I was feeling what he was feeling. I wasn't sure if that was possible, until now.
Tommy's hand left mine and I turned to see why. Anger washed through me as I seen the rogue holding his hand. I wasn't used to being jealous and it defiantly wasn't the time for this.
"Robin, I want you and Tommy to stay close to me," He paused as he glanced at Akemi and then to my dad." Old man I expect you to keep her safe."
"Im expecting the same from you, boy." My dad replied. They were glaring at each other.
I rolled my eyes,"Now is not the time to be fighting." I said as I got between them. They nodded before looking back at the battle field. The fight was becoming more vicious and I knew Micheal wanted to join. The ripping and tearing of flesh could be heard. And the smell of blood was over whelming.
Micheal shifted into his black wolf his fur brushed against me as he got closer. I worried about communicating with him, I felt Tommy grip my hand again. We began to move as Micheal's large form pushed forward. The wolves were trying to get to us but our pack held them off. Even if it meant risking their own lives.
Micheal stopped as his ears went up, his teeth were no longer showing. Loud running could be heard as something approached the field. I became frightened as the fighting stopped and the rogues submitted. Even the wolves from our pack were laying down with their ears laid back.
Me and Akemi were looking at each other. Neither of us knew what was going on. I heard a loud howl which caused the wolves to whimper slightly. Something was coming and that something must have been powerful. The hair on Micheal's back was standing up.
Silence overtook the field as four massive wolves and a man walked out of the forest, each standing tall. Their demeanor demanded respect, power radiated off of them as they stared at us. I gripped Micheal's fur as one of the biggest wolves looked my way.
Sensing my fear Micheal moved his body in front of me. It was a comforting gesture but it wasn't enough. The power radiating off of the wolves almost made me want to bow down. The man's hazel eyes locked onto mine, he smiled a friendly smile my way. Micheal growled a low warning growl as he came closer.
"Down boy," he warned as he growled at Micheal. He turned his attention back to me."You must be Robin?"
Crossing my arms over my chest I managed a smirk"Robin who?" I played dumb. Sticking to my street smarts I put on my poker face. He chuckled as he looked at me.
"I was told that she would be a handful." He confessed as if he was playing along with."If you were to see her. Could you make sure she got this message?" He asked.
"Sure," I replied.
His smiled turned sinister as he stared at me."She's been brought up on charges of kidnapping and murder." he paused and looked at me. My smirk fell as he spoke"Could you make sure she gets that." He sneered.
"I didn't kidnap or murder anyone,"
"You can explain yourself in court. Until then I need both parties where I can see them" He demanded as he ushered all of the wolves in line. Micheal ushered me up on his back as the line marched away. I couldn't believe what was happening.
The blonde haired boy shifted into a light golden wolf, Tommy hopped on his back without hesitating. Jealousy ran through me as I watched the two, who were strangely getting along. Tommy just didn't get along with anyone and not that fast. What was so different about him?
Shaking my head I thought about the bigger things I was about to face. They thought I kidnapped someone and murdered them or did I just do them separately. I sighed this whole werewolf thing was getting to me. All I want is one peaceful day without any drama.
I gripped onto Micheal's fur as the wolves began to run. The scenery was passing by to fast for me to see anything. It was as if everything was a big blur, it was starting to make me sick. I pulled my face closer to Micheal's back and hid my face in his fur. I would be embarrassed if all my lunch ended up in his fur.
Shock washed through me as I glanced at the mansion before me. Men in tuxedoes were waiting with clothes in each hand as we came closer. I had a feeling that we were no where near civilization. Their were no houses in site as I looked at the trees behind me.
"We are at the werewolf council," I heard Micheal say as I turned around to face him. He had some shorts on but no shirt, so did all the other males.
"Micheal what's going to happen to me?" I asked. I couldn't help but let my fear show at that moment.
He gripped my hand in his"Nothing's going to happen to you," he pulled me into a tight hug. "I promise."
I smiled even if he still stunk. But I wasn't so sure if he could keep that promise.
Micheal's POV
The alpha led us into the mansion, and led the other rogues in a different direction. Robin's hand gripped mine tightly as the alpha led us into a room for us. Tommy ran ahead of us and jumped onto the massive bed.
"Your not going to put us in cells ?" I questioned the alpha. He smiled a friendly smile at me before shaking his head.
"The cells are full of rogues who are going to be executed," the alpha response as he closed the door to our room. I shook my head at his attempt to scare me.
"He's going to kill me!" Robin exclaimed loudly. I could see the fear in her eyes adage stared at me.
"He's not going to kill you," I said, softly. "He'd have to go through me first." I walked over to the bed and noticed they had clothes laid out. A note sat on top of the clothes.
The trail begins tomorrow so freshen up.
Balling up the note before Robin could see it, I turned to face her. "I'm going to go take a shower," I said. She nodded. I grabbed the clothes that were laid out for me and walked towards the restroom.
"Micheal," I came to a halt when I heard Robin's voice. "Make sure you take a long shower." she added.
That comment brought a smile to my face as I made my way into the restroom. I did need a long shower and I needed to rest. Come tomorrow I'd have to defend Robin like my life depended on it. Which in reality I would die trying to protect her.
