Epilogue
Robin
It had been three month since I was in the hospital. They said I was having a good but slow recovery, the healing was mostly needed on my arm. The pack doctor had some type of contact with a human doctor that was in another pack. She was a nice women with a shy timid side to her. And I thought I'd be the one to not talk at first, though it was awkward with her working on me in silence.
After I had gotten on my feet well just enough to walk with crunches. Max had decided to fully make me and Tommy part of the pack. It was frustrating at first with all the voices in my head. Though when Micheal taught me how to block them out, I could actually breathe. Because when they were in my head I wanted to scream and punch something.
Though my new arm was a different story. Sometimes I hated it and wished I never lost my arm. At night I would sometimes cry and mourn the lost of it. Michael wouldn't ask why I was crying he'd just wrap his arms around me, then he'd pull me into him. That would stop the crying and I'd fall asleep with a smile on my face.
My father had started to train me again. He had it in his mind that with my new arm, I was at a disadvantage. Quickly he had seen how much he had underestimated me. I've always been a fast learner so it didn't take me long get the hang of the prosthetics. Even though I hated it at the moment, I was slowly starting to think of it as part of me. A detachable part.
Tommy on the other hand was having the time of his life. He had a twinkle in his eye when he played with the others. His animals forms were even getting bigger, though he mostly just shifted into a wolf. Sometimes though I would see him frown and stare off into the forest, as if he was looking for someone. I knew who he was looking though but never asked.
I was currently sitting on the grass in the back yard of the pack house. Staring out into the woods waiting for Micheal to come back from patrolling. He told me he was making sure that no rogues or unwanted guest got in. Though through the mates bond I could feel his concern and worry. Even though I had proven I could take care of myself. He still was overprotective of me and Tommy.
"Robin." Tommy's voice broke me out of the trance I was in. My lips tugged up into a smile, as I noticed the other kids behind him. They had hopeful looks on each of their faces.
"Yeah Tommy?" I asked knowing already what he wanted to ask me.
He looked back at the other kids, before turning back to face me."Can you play hide and seek with us?"
I smiled,"It's not like I have anything to do, so I'll count to fifty." I told them as I closed my eyes and started to count. They giggled before running off to hide."No shifting." I added.
"Don't peak." I heard Tommy yell, while running. He already sounded far away. Truthfully they were still at an advantage, even when they were young. That's why shifting was off limits when we were playing. They were faster but not stronger than me.
"Fifty." I yelled, finishing up my counting. Wherever they had went I knew they could hear me, due to their hearing. The problem was finding them, that would take some time. Kneeling down I inspected a patch of grass that was trampled. My father didn't just teach me how to fight he also taught me some other useful things, like tracking.
I sighed when I noticed all of there tracks led to the woods. Michael had told me to only go into the woods when he was with me. I thought as I started towards the woods. When did I ever listen to Micheal or anyone for that matter. The woods never scared me, though the things inside used to. Now nothing about going into the woods scared me.
Quietly I snuck into the forest peaking under things, as I listen. Waiting for one of them to make a simple mistake. My head snapped towards the sound of a branch snapping. I smiled "Find you." I screamed, as I quickly jumped over a fallen log.
