Chapter Six

Tommy's POV

I woke up next to a sleeping robin.I hated leaving before she woke up,because I knew she would worry.I always wondered what she thought I was in her life.Did she think of me like a friend,brother,or son?It was sometimes confusing because she treated me like all three of them.I thought about asking her but always stopped myself from asking.

She did always say I was to smart for my age which was true.I felt different from other people,even robin.Their was things about me that I didn't understand.If my mom was still alive she would know the answer to my questions.Speaking of my mom I sometimes found myself thinking of her.

From what I could remember she had long black hair that stopped at the middle of her back,and blue/greenish eyes like mine.Her smile always made me smile,and her eyes always seem to twinkle.I sighed lowly I did miss her but robin did made it better.She made me feel safe and loved.

But sometimes I wished that she would just let go and have fun.Her and Micheal could be good friends.I see the the way he looks at her when shes not looking.At first I didn't like it.But then I started to like Micheal because he was nice and made me laugh.

But then again their was something off about him, actually all of them.They weren't like other humans.They were stronger,faster and smarter,I didn't see how robin couldn't see it.Well I guess it's because she didn't spend time with them.

I guess I figured they were different when me and the other kids were playing.A little girl named Sally had fell and scrapped her knee.But she didn't cry even when it started bleeding.But what surprised me was that the cut had healed in seconds.It looked like it never happened,but their was still dried up blood on her knee.

Robin rolled over in the bed and snuggled deeper into the covers.I turned to stare at her.I wondered what would have happened to me if she didn't take me in?I probably would have been starving or worse.But she was so busy protecting and taking care of me.I wondered who would protect and take care her.

But then a thought popped in my head.Micheal,he protected her at the mall and he does like her.Maybe I could ask him to take care of her.I slid out of bed being careful not to make to much noise.I tiptoed out of the room and into micheal's room,which was across from ours.

He was still asleep.I walked over towards his bed and poked his shoulder.He stirred in the bed a little before sitting up sleepily."Tommy what's wrong buddy." He said sounding sleepy.

"Its Robin." I said quickly.It was like he went on full alert.His eyes snapped open and all his sleepiness was gone."What happened to robin Tommy." He asked while looking around frantically."Nothing happened I just had to ask you something about her." I said while looking at him curiously.

He blew out a relived sigh and smiled at me."So what did you have to ask me." He asked while sitting me on the bed."I want you to take care of her for me." I said while giving him the puppy dog look.He smiled and scratched the back of his neck nervously."See I want to take care of her but she won't let me,look Tommy it's complicated." He said.

I shook my head"It's not complicated.She's just used to blocking other people out.So that just means you have to try harder." I said casually.He raised an eyebrow at me"Robin is right your are to smart for your age." He said sounding amused.

I smiled at him and got up off his bed.Something on his dresser caught my eye.It was white and cool looking."What's that?" I asked micheal."It's called a wii." He said getting up.I gave him a confused look."It's like the game I let you play in the car but it's just bigger." He said while stretching."Oh,can we play." I asked while jumping up and down.

He nodded his head"Can we play this one." I asked picking up a game and giving it to him."Just dance 3." He asked.I nodded my head as he slid the cd in."Let me just warn you your going to be amazed at my awesome dance moves." Micheal said.
