MMSMMP- Chapter Thirty-Nine
Robin's POV
Darkness.
Everything around me was dark. It was like I was trapped in a box with no sides. I looked down at my arms and to my legs, no wounds. No scratches not even one scar. Where was I? Because it definitely didn't feel right.
Suddenly a bright light shone from above. I covered my eyes as it started to get closer, to me. Though I didn't run because there was no where to run.
"Robin." A voice called my name, the voice sounded inhuman almost pixelated. It was like it was there but wasn't all together. The strange thing is it sounded strangely familiar."Robin open your eyes."
Slowly my eyes were getting adjusted to the light in front of me, as I opened them. The figure of a women with black flowing hair, and light brown eyes stared back at me. Her skin glowed an eerie bright color. Instantly I knew she wasn't alive.
I backed away.
"It's been a long time since I last saw you." The women said, moving closer to me. She outstretched her hand for me to take, strangely I found myself taking it. The women pulled me into her, then snaked her arms around me trapping me in her warm embrace.
Then it started to come back. This women was the women I ran to when I was scared. She was the women who successfully took gum out of my hair. The women that birth me. This women that was hugging me was dead, she had died along time ago. This women was my mother.
I pulled away from her, and stared up at her with wide green eyes.
"I'm I dead?" I asked, hopping that the answer to that question wasn't a yes. She stood silent for a second, before a smile lit up her glowing face.
"Your not dead, but you're almost their."
"What is that to smile about?" I snapped angrily, crossing my arms over my chest.
Her brown eyes narrowed,"Just because I wasn't there to raise you, doesn't mean you can talk to me any kind of way." She snapped back, with just as much or more attitude."Now I I'm still your mother, so I suggest that you treat me with some respect."
I uncrossed my arms and sighed,"I'm sorry, mother." I mumbled out, lowly but high enough so she'd hear it.
"It's okay Robin." Her happiness was back. So I'm guessing when you're dead, you're truly at peace?
"What do you mean by I'm almost There?" I questioned, but moved closer to her as our surrounding started to change. We were now in a hospital are what looked like one.
"Well he's giving you a choice." Was all she said, while starting to walk. I followed behind her as she stopped in front of a door. Screaming could be heard coming from the other side of the door. Before I could reach out to open the door she stopped me.
"Don't you even want to know what the choice is?" She asked, a slight frown forming on her face.
I shook my head,"I want to go back." I told her, knowing what the choices were going to be.
She laughed, then pulled me away from the door. Even though I really wanted to see what was on the other side. Something told me that whatever it was, was going to break me.
"Well then you just made my job easier." The walls around me faded back into nothing. The only light radiating off of my mother, lit up the dark place.
"So this was a job."
She frowned,"I didn't mean it like that. It's just that I'm here to guide you or your father when you get to this point." She circled me as she spoke."I just never thought you'd be the first one to make it here."
