Robin's POV

"After his mother was killed by a big white wolf I took him in." I said. It was the truth but I don't think they believed me. The judge looked like he was bored with my case and just wanted to get it done with already.

This whole trail seemed unfair to me. The judge hated me from the beginning. He turned his nose down at me, like I wasn't worthy. He was the one that wasn't worthy. Seeing, as I didn't want to get myself into more trouble. I kept my mouth shut.

"Robin do you know how many white wolves there are in this world?" Daemon asked in a mocking tone. The rogues started to laugh loudly at me, which in return the pack snarled at them. I have a feeling that before the end of this trail a fight would break out, I hoped that it didn't though.

With how I was feeling right now, I didn't want to see anymore bodies. Nobody else needed to die. We could all just sort this whole mess out like adults.

"Well I remember his eyes." I mumbled lowly. I knew he had heard me they all did. It was something about the wolves eyes that haunted me. Somehow I knew I would never forget them, they were evil. But I knew if I saw them again I'd know who did it.

But what are the chances of me seeing those eyes again. If I did I probably wouldn't take it well.

"Human if you don't have anything better than that, then your as good as guilty." The judge snapped harshly. Whatever happened to being innocent till proven guilty. I didn't do anything wrong but he was treating me like a common criminal.

I'm not saying that wasn't one, at some point in time.

"You can't talk to her like that." My eyes darted towards Micheal. His blue eyes had darkened to a shade of black, and he was violently shaking. He was on the verge of shifting in the courtroom then we would be in trouble for sure.

He couldn't do that, not now. Without hesitating I stood up from the stand, and ran to him. I took his face in mine.

"Micheal look at me." I spoke softly. His dark eyes found mines instantly. I breathe in deep when I realized his wolf had took over. So now I was dealing with his wolf instead of him. I bit my lip nervously before speaking.

"I'm going to need you to calm down okay." I spoke low, making my voice sound soothing. I stared up at him with pleading eyes."Please Micheal."

His eyes narrowed slightly before he sat down on the bench. I watched as his eyes shifted back to his normal shade of blue. A scowl was on his face and I didn't think that was going away. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked forward.

The judge cleared his throat, and sent me a annoyed look. I fought back the urge to roll my eyes. I wouldn't give him anymore reason to dislike me. I quickly make my way back to the stand and sit.

"Now, if their isn't anymore interruption." Daemon looked at me."Let's get back to the big bad white wolf."

"I say she's telling the truth." Kirah said as she stood up. At least someone on the other side thought I was innocent. Maybe she was all I needed since she was Daemon's mate. From what I saw and knew, she could use that against him.

"Kirah what are you doing?" Daemon asked as he came to her side. He whispered something in her ear, and in return she gave him a mischievous smirk. She walked around him and walked up to the stand.

"Robin would you mind if we brought Tommy to the stand?" Kirah asked."You are his legal guardian." She added. I hadn't even thought about me being his legal guardian. Yes I did take care of him but I wasn't the only one that did that anymore.

I looked over at Tommy, he smiled and nodded his head. But as I got up to get off the stand. My eyes locked with the rogue, and suddenly something hit me. How could I not know.

The black haired women smiled at me."I'll teach you a few things about surviving out here." She said while looking through the trash.

"Then I'll be able to make it on my own." I replied as I watched the women. I needed to learn, so I watched every move she made.

"Mommy." Her little boy called her."I'm hungi." he said as he rubbed his stomach. I smiled as I looked at the little boy.

"I'll fin-"

She was interrupted by a loud crashing sound. Out of the darkness stepped a big white wolf. His lips were pulled back into a snarl, and his claws were out. Panic set in and I wanted to run but knew It wasn't a good idea. The black haired women pushed me and her son back.

"Robin, whatever you do don't let him get Tommy." she said.

Then the wolf pounced.

My breath quickened as he stared at me, with a knowing smirk. The fear that I had pushed away came back. I was beyond terrified, I couldn't breath. My world darkened.

Micheal's POV

Something was wrong, one second she was walking. Then the next her eyes had rolled to the back of her head. But before I could get to her falling form, Daemon caught her. Growling, I rushed to her side and took her from him.

"Your honor can I request a recess." Daemon asked the judge. I held in a growl when the judge visibly rolled his eyes and groaned. What was he five? How was he going to keep the trail going if Robin passed out.

"You have an hour." The judge snapped, while bagging his gavel. I carefully picked Robin up off the ground. Her breathing was even, and her heart beat sounded okay. But I wouldn't take any chances with her.

Staying in the courtroom wasn't an option, their were to many wolves. Including the ones in my pack. Caine was growling inside my head, wanting me to protect his mate. What the hell did he think I was doing.

Tommy ran ahead of me and pushed open the wooden doors. I carried her out of the court room, and laid her down gently on a bench. She looked so peaceful as she laid unconscious. Like all of her worries were gone.

When she woke back up though, she'd be right back in the middle of trouble. I brushed a stray hair from her face as I stared at her. When all of this is over I'd make sure she'd have only happy days. She's been through so much in just sixteen years.

That was going to be my mission as a mate. Make sure she was happy, and didn't worry.

"Is she going to be alright." Tommy asked.

"Yeah, she just fainted. Maybe the stress is finally getting to her." I replied.

"No." Tommy responded."He scared her, I saw the face she made."

I turned to him."Who scared her?How did he scare her?" I asked as I fired off questions.

Tommy paused as he looked behind me. A low growl left me as the scent of a familiar rogue hit me. I turned around to face Alex and I stood up. If he stepped any closer to us I'd attack.

"Micheal.." he put his hands up."I don't want to fight. Tommy belongs with us, why not just let us have him."

I frowned."Tommy belongs with us. We're his family not you."

Alex took a step closer."He is my little brother, and we will get him back."

I growled."I'd like to see that happen." I said. He shook his head, and turned his back on me. If it came down to it I'd kill him if I had too. Somehow I knew it would hurt Tommy, he accepted Alex but not his father.

When I turned back around to face Tommy he was staring down at Robin. "His eyes." he muttered before turning and walking away.

His eyes. Who's eyes? The rogues eyes. She said she could remember the wolf eyes. That would mean..no it couldn't be. It wasn't unheard of but it rarely happened.

He killed Tommy's mother. His mate.
