I Choose You! The Road to World Champion

Chapter 13 - One Year Later

Almost a year later.

On an island far away from mainland Japan, a green haired boy ran through the jungles with a group of vigoroths. A small red pokemon sat on his shoulders munching on an Oran Berry.

The group of vigoroths stopped at the edge of the forest while the boy leapt out and landed in a field. A group of Lucario and Riolu stood in front of him, grins on their faces as they got ready to fight.

The boy smiles back as he charges at the group of Aura Pokemon. "ARGH!!!!" The boy yells as he clashes with a large Lucario.

A few quick punches and later, the boy found himself face to face with the Alpha Lucario. The Lucario uses Bone Rush. The boy dodges by leaping out of the way while his pokemon blocks the attack using Protect before dashing towards the wild pokemon with Flame Charge.

The boy's arm gets covered in blue aura as he rushes towards the pokemon and punches it. The force of the two attacks pushed the Alpha back.

The boy smiles at his pokemon as the Alpha holds his hands out, energy collecting between its palms. The pokemon roars as he releases an Aura Sphere.

Smirking, the boy holds his hands out, creates an Aura Sphere of his own and shoots it out towards the Alpha. The two spheres of aura energy clash for a few seconds before exploding. The shockwave almost knocked over some of the younger Riolus.

Not waiting for the dust to clear, the Lucario dashes forward with a Vacuum Wave ready to be launched at the boy. The boy, having already figured this out, leaps over the large pokemon and shoots down a barrage of Aura Spheres at the pokemon.

The boy's companion pokemon also joins in, using a Flamethrower to knock the Alpha Lucario out. The Riolus and Lucarios cheer for the boy as he stands next to the Alpha, helping it up.

"That's enough data for today Izuku." A voice tells the boy.

The boy looks up at the drone that had been following him and nodded before turning back to the pokemon in front of him.

"Well, I guess that was all for today then." The boy tells the group of Aura Pokemon. "It was fun fighting with you guys! I'm looking forward to next time." He tells them, bowing to the pokemon that had fought before grabbing his pokemon and placing it on his shoulders. "You good to go Charcadet?"

"CHAR!!" The pokemon exclaims with a smile as the duo leave the fields and head towards the other end of the forest.

15 minutes later, the duo exited the forest and entered a small town. They headed to the Pokemon Center where they met a man in a lab coat.

"Professor!" Izuku greets the man. "I wasn't expecting you here."

"Ahh Izuku, it's been quite long." The man tells him. "But I've come here for a reason."

"Are the 10 months over?" Izuku asks him.
