Vinnie yawned softly as light seeped through her eyelids, she looked around.

She was in Dean's black car, her cat was sunbathing on the dashboard. She stretched and let out another yawn as she rubbed the sleep away from her eyes.

They were at a gas-station.

"Hey," Dean called from outside of the car, "You guys want breakfast?" He held up a bottle of soda and a bag of chips. Some breakfast...

"No thanks..." Sam replied, unenthusiastically, "How'd you even pay for that stuff? You and dad still running credit card scams?"

Vinnie got out of the car and allowed her legs to wake up and stretch, her cat hopped out and sat down beside her.

Dean glanced back at Sam, "Yeah, well, hunting a pro-ball career. Besides, all we do is apply."

Sam's eyes wandered over to the long-haired, fluffy black cat by Vinnie's side. "What's that thing's name, anyways." He asked.

Vinnie shot a playful glare his way, "Alright, first off, his name is Moth. Second, he's not a 'thing', he's my buddy."

"I'm sorry... His name is Moth?" The boy laughed.

Vinnie pointed her finger at him, "Respect him, Sammy. He'll claw out your eyeballs at my command."

Moth purred and rubbed up against Vinnie's calf. Sam laughed, slightly nervous, and shook his head.

Dean got back into the driver's seat and bickered with Sam about music and cassette tapes. Vinnie got back into the passenger seat, Moth hopped onto her lap and laid down.

Then they drove off, soon making their way to Jericho, California.

Not long after entering Jericho, they came across a couple of police cars parked near a bridge.

"Check it out." Dean said, beckoning to the bridge.

The three pulled over and Dean reached over to the glove box, grabbing out a box of ID's, picked one up and said, "Let's go." With a mischievous grin.

Vinnie glanced at Sam who was just as shocked as she was, then got out of the car. Moth followed her out, but sat down by the car as Vinnie instructed him.

The cops on scene were talking about something, but Vinnie wasn't paying attention. Instead she was touching the bridge railing, seeing if she could pick up on anything.

"You fellas had another like this last month, didn't you." Dean made his way into their conversation.

Vinnie turned her attention back to Sam and Dean, making her way over to them. Something had been there, she picked up on a cold energy, there was a strong feeling of female phantom energy. She could rarely get such intense feelings of a ghoul's gender, but this so strong, she knew gender had some role in it.

"And who might you be?" One of the cops asked, glancing at the group of three.

"Federal Marshals." Dean replied, flashing the officer his fake ID.

The cop's eyebrow raised in confusion, "You three are a little young for Marshals, aren't you?"

"Thanks, that's awfully kind of you." Dean chuckled, Vinnie followed his lead.

"You've had three other incidents like this so far, haven't you?" Vinnie questioned, putting on her most proper posture.

"Yeah, that's right, about a mile up the road." The cop replied, "There had been others before that."

As Sam stepped in to talk, Vinnie glanced at Dean who flashed her a wink and a grin.

Vinnie glanced back over at Dean's car to make sure Moth was still in his place, he was.

Then Vinnie was grabbed by the arm and dragged back to the car by Dean who was bickering with Sam, almost bumping into the Deputy and two FBI agents.

The three got back in the car, Moth jumped onto Vinnie's lap, "Those cops are fucking clueless." She chuckled.

"Wait, you can read minds?" Dean asked in awe.

"No, dipshit! Body language says it all, along with tone of voice. You should know that." Vinnie replied with a snap, gaining laughter from Sam.
