Vinnie and Dean sat quietly, both feeling content with what had been discovered in the previous minutes.

"Ready to get back on the road?" He asked, looking over at Vinnie who nodded.

Just as Dean started the car and started to pick up speed, a figure flashed before the car. Vinnie let out a loud gasp.

Dean looked at her with concern, "You okay?"

He hadn't seen it. At all.

Vinnie nodded, "Yeah. I just... I thought I saw something..." She relaxed back in the seat, praying that what she thought she had seen was nothing but a figment of her imagination.

Dean reached over and grabbed her hand, holding it against his lips, before resting it on the glovebox between their seats. His thumb gently rubbed over the top of her hand, sending waves of comfort to Vinnie.

Eventually the two had made their way back to the motel they were staying in.

Dean had been sleeping on the hideaway bed, which was where he had his things set up, but Vinnie invited him to sit beside her on the bed she was given.

He gladly obliged.

She pulled out her laptop and Moth crawled up by her feet. Dean sat beside her, gradually making his way closer to her.

Eventually they were able to track down both the symbol and a Meg Masters residing in Massachusetts.

The creature that they believed to have been responsible for the bloodbath in the apartment was this type of demon, Dean and Vinnie found them similar to pitbulls if they were from hell.

These creatures are called 'daevas.' Nobody knows what they truly look like, given they haven't been seen in centuries. Basically, they had to be summoned first by someone and then controlled, meaning this was likely a person's doing. However, daevas often snap on the one who summoned them, killing their so-called 'masters.'

Dean picked up his flip-phone and dialed Sam.

"You're lurking outside that poor girl's apartment, aren't you?" Dean said, after Sam picked up the phone. Vinnie couldn't hear what Sam was saying, so she waited for Dean to get off the phone and give her the rundown.

Eventually he got off the phone and only for Vinnie to find out there was no plan, given Sam had hung up after some of Dean's out-of-pocket comments about Sam and Meg.

Dean sighed heavily and then sprung up to his feet.

Vinne followed suit and walked over to him, "Where are you going?"

"Gonna go pull some strings." He replied, pulling his baggy leather coat over his shoulders.

"Well, can I come with you?" She asked, furrowing her brows.

Dean let out a soft sigh, "Not unless you wanna come meet an old 'friend' of mine..."

Vinne replied with a sigh, "It's fine.. As long as this old friend of yours doesn't still think there's a spark" She said, quoting with her fingers over the word 'spark'.

Dean took a deep breath, "Well.. that's the only way for me to pull the strings, Vinnie. You gotta utilize that skill-set, y'know?"

"What skill-set? Being hot?" Vinnie replied sarcastically, crossing her arms.

Dean raised an eyebrow, "Oh, so you think I'm hot?"

Vinnie froze and spun around to grab her jacket, "Let's just go..." She muttered.
