Over the next two days, the trio made their way to Colorado to investigate an ongoing series of deaths allegedly caused by a grizzly bear.
They all arrived in the early morning, Vinnie had been up all night. She yawned.
"Alright, Vin. You needa get changed?" Dean asked, glancing over at her after pulling into a rest-stop.
Vinnie looked down and realized she'd been wearing the same clothes that she had worn when she fell in the river. "Well, a change of clothes would be nice."
Dean put the car into park and got out, Vinnie got out too and grabbed her bag from the back of the car.
Moth got out and jumped onto the hood of the car, licking his paw.
Vinnie made her way to the women's restroom, getting into a stall and getting changed. She put on a pair of jeans and a black short sleeved shirt with a heart-shaped lock, and other flowy designs on it complete with a few black rhinestones.
Vinnie exited the bathroom and made her way back over to Dean, his eyes met her figure and he took a deep breath.
"Sure you aren't gonna be getting cold on that?" He asked, looking her up and down.
She shrugged, "I imagine I'll make it."
Dean sighed, "Whatever, clearly I don't know anything."
Vinnie smiled, looking down at the goosebumps on her arms.
"He headed off to the bathroom, I think he's taking a mean shit." Dean smirked, elbowing Vinnie. She shook her head, "Gross."
The two stood in silence for a moment, before Vinnie looked over at Dean, "Hey, Dean?"
"What's up?" He replied, glancing back over at her. Vinnie looked down and her hands, then back up at Dean.
"Will you teach me how to shoot?" She asked, "I just figured... If we're really doing this, I should learn how."
Dean grinned, "I agree that you should learn, it can be helpful in a ton of situations, not just hunting."

Dean brought Vinnie out into a secluded area and set up a variety of beer cans and bottles, all of which he drank at some point.
Dean handed her a gun, explained what to do and allowed her to aim, "Alright, now don't expect to get it on the first try."
"Trust me, I'm not expecting that." Vinnie sighed, taking her first shot and grazing one of the cans. This went on for a while, she continued to miss. She was definitely on edge, even holding a gun for the first time was intimidating.
Dean sighed, "Let me help."
He stood closely behind her, his chest against her back and helped steady her arms with his own. "Alright, focus... Take your aim and do not let your eyes leave your target."
Vinnie squinted, took a deep breath and took a shot. One of the glass bottles was hit and burst into little shards of glass. She gasped and turned to look at Dean, "Holy shit! I did it!"
Instinctively she ran into his arms for a hug, pulling away quickly.
Dean swung an arm around her shoulders, "Now that's what I'm talking about! I highly doubt you'll become as good of a shooter as me, but you definitely made some progress." Vinnie scoffed and pushed him off of her, picking back up the gun and going on to nail each can and bottle without fail.
"I say you're ready for some action now." Dean grinned, patting her on the back.
-
The next day they went into the woods after speaking with a girl who's older brother was missing after going camping in the woods.
It was only Vinnie's second case and they were already moving on to something big, they'd come to the conclusion it wasn't a grizzly bear they were dealing with, but the mythological Wendigo.
Vinnie had learned of the Wendigo in high school when she did a project on Cree people.
The battle against the Wendigo was harsh and led to the hunting trio all being injured before lighting the Wendigo ablaze.
As the trio gave their statements to police, saying it was a grizzly bear, the girl they'd help find their brother gave Dean a kiss on the cheek before thanking the three of them and getting in the ambulance with her found brother.
Vinnie found herself looking down at her feet as this transpired, something that did not go unnoticed by Sam.
"Alright, I'm tired. Can we go now?" Vinnie asked, Dean happily obliged and the trio got into Dean's Chevy Impala and drove away.
