SIMULA noon ay malimit na silang naglalaro ni Mateo. Dalawang beses sa isang linggo sila nagpupunta ng Kuya Fabiz niya sa Tagaytay, pero hindi na siya binibisita ni Mateo. The other month, she knew that Mateo had migrated to Canada.

Simula din sa araw na iyon, malimit na ang pagdalo ni Dash kapay may mga family gatherings ang Saravia at Candreva. Kaya nga siguro mag-bestfriends si Kuya Fabiz at Dash dahil simula't-sapol ay magkaibigan na ang kanilang pamilya. It was like they were extended families. Naging ganoon siguro ang nangyari dahil siniseryoso ni Dash ang pag-a-abogasiya.

Kapag nagtatanong si Mommy kung nasaan si Dash ay parating sagot ni Tita Dorothea ay ito,

"Ano pa nga ba, Georgia? He's too busy and thriving hard in law school. He has goals and probably one of them is to topnotch the bar exams like his father."

Ngiti lamang ang sinasagot ni Mommy kapag ganoon na ang sinasabi ni Tita. It was like it didn't mean something, but it felt like a pressure to do something just like them. Probably Dash had been pressured to be like his parents. However, she didn't know entirely. 

Good for her, Fauna only pressured herself to achieve more. Even though her parents were always proud of her, with achievements or without them.

It was her father's birthday today and they were in Hector Polo's hotel to have their dinner. Sila pang dalawa ni Sofia na mga anak ang nandito. They couldn't relate to each other since Fauna was the nerdy type who liked books, movies, and sports and Sofia were just Sofia who liked to socialize and update her followers on Instagram. She was a rising socialite if there was such term.

She was seriously reading her current book for this week when her brother arrived. Una nitong binati si Fauna tsaka binesohan si Tita Dorothea at Tito Fernando.

Fauna slowly closed her book and put it inside her back when the next to walk in were Dash and a beautiful lady in white. Malambot at mahigpit ang hawak nito sa braso ni Dash. May pinag-uusapan yata na nakakatuwa ang dalawa kasi magandang ngumiti ang babae. Dash smiled a little too as if he was proud to make her smile.

Nakita niya ang paglingon ni Sofia sa tiningnan niya. Sofia smiled wider when she saw the girl and Fauna bet she knew her from her socials.

"How's your school, Fau?" Kuya Fabiz bumped her arm slightly with his arm to divert her attention. Doon siya napakurap at umayos ng upo.

"Ayos naman, Kuya. You'll be walking again on the stage to have my Second Quarter Highest honors award," proud niyang sabi kasi pinagmamalaki naman niya talaga ang kanyang sarili kapag nakakuha ng ganito.

He tapped her cheeks and rubbed them annoyingly. "Kaya ka pini-pimples kasi panay ka lang aral. Basa ng libro. Laro sa tennis club mo. But I'm proud of you, sister."

Hindi na bago sa kanya kung ang kanyang Kuya ang parating uma-attend sa school recognitions niya dahil kapwa surgeons ang mga magulang nila. Minsan, wala ng oras para sa ganitong event. But their parents always made sure they were proud of her and her efforts were appreciated since they made time to bond with her during weekends to celebrate such achievements. Last quarter, pumunta sila ni France to tour her because she had been the highest honore.

She heard her father chuckled when Tito Fernando made a comment about her brilliance and focus on her studies.

"She's that, Fernan. I will not worry and cry if Fabian will not decide to take over the company since Fauna here could do it without doubt," her father, Frederick said.

Kumislap ang mga mata ng Kuya niya dahil sa narinig. He was always vocal about his disinterest to run the pharma business of the family. But for now, Fuana didn't know her brother's plans for his future.
