Nick POV

"What do you want to know?" Asher nervously asked as he sat on his bed while Maya and I stood up both of us watching Asher.

Maya turned her attention to me, "Do you want to ask him first or should I?" Maya asked me.

"You go you are the one that figured out Asher is like El" I told her.

"Umm whose El?" Asher asked looking at me and Maya waiting for one of us to answer his question.

"El is just like you she also is from the lab and has powers. My friends and I met her three years ago at night in the middle of the woods. Her name is Eleven, but we call her El." Maya tells him, "Mike came up with the name after El showed him the number tattoo on her wrist." I added.

Asher looked down at his arm and lowered his left wristband down revealing 09 tattoo.

Maya and I gasped at the sight of the tattoo.

"The day we met when we walked back to Ziggy, and I cabin, and you waved goodbye I could've sworn I saw a tattoo, but when I looked again, I didn't see any tattoos just you wearing a wristband, so I thought it was my imagination, but it wasn't at all. You been covering it with your wristbands. This is unbelievable... "

"Didn't expect my first year as a camp counselor was you and me finding someone with the same abilities as El." I commented in disbelief that Asher has powers, but the proof was right in front of us, his nose bleeding when he used his powers to stop Maya from attacking Sheila and the number tattoo on his wrist.

Asher looks at Maya, "Why were you and your friends in the woods in the middle of the night?"

"He's seriously asking Maya why she and her friends were in the woods rather than ask us questions about El?"

"Ummm..." Maya trails off scratching the back of her neck.

"Tell him Maya if we want Asher to answer are questions, then it's only fair that we don't keep secrets from him and tell him everything that we know. Do not forget that he was a part of Hawkins lab, so he deserves the right to know what happened after he somehow managed to escape. You and Lucas told Max about the Upside Down, and you and Lucas only knew her for a few days while you known Asher longer and this concerns him." I whispered in her ear reminding her of last year when she and Lucas tricked Max so the two could tell her the truth of Will disappearance, meeting El, and the Upside Down.

Maya grabs my arm and pulls me away to the corner of the room way from Asher to hear are conversation.

"I think it's best that we don't tell Asher about the Upside Down." She tells me quickly glancing at Asher and back at me, "Why does Asher need to know about the Upside Down? Did you forget that El closed the gate to the Upside Down so there is no need to tell Asher about it. We can tell him about Hawkin's lab, how they had children with powers in the lab, El powers, her escaping the lab, and her powers helping us find Will who instead of being stuck in Upside Down was lost in the woods. That's all we tell him. I don't want him to get involved in something that we no longer have to worry about. No mentioning Upside Down, the Mind flayer, Will being possessed, and the monsters." Maya sternly tells me.

I reluctantly nod knowing by the tone of her voice that there was no changing her mind.

We walked back to Asher who was silently waiting for us to come back.

"My friends and I were in the woods searching for our missing friend. While we were searching for him my friend Mike heard something. At first, we thought it was Will but instead we found Eleven. We snuck her to Mike's basement, and she stayed there. She told us that she escaped from this lab in Hawkins and that we later found out experiments on children with psychokinetic abilities. El revealed to us that she has powers which are telekinesis and remote viewing which helped us find our missing friend. Thanks to El's remote viewing she found him hiding in a cabin in the middle of the woods, we managed to pinpoint in what part of the woods was the cabin at and he was rescued. After that happened, the Sheriff adopted El and now with him he knows of El having powers" Maya tells him leaving out the major events of El supposed death, the Mind flayer possessing Will, and El returning to Hawkins to help close the gates.
