“I will definitely come, darling. Believe me.” I assured for the 10th time now, with my phone call on the speaker.

“How can I miss this golden opportunity?” I tried to console Ridhima, who was throwing tantrums.

“I have already cancelled all of my plans. I will leave for India at sharp 10:30 A.M.” I explained, the truth rolling out of my lips.

I will reach India by 9:00 P.M. if I take this New York flight.

“Okay fine but so you know, I wanted you with me today.” I could feel Ridhima pouting over the call.

When Ridhima Singhania, my bestie since KG class, told me that she loves a man, I was over the moon for her.

And apparently, she wanted me to meet him, which is a good thing but my business schedule is fucked up.

Wae?” I asked despite the inner turmoil rushing in my head.

I don’t remember if today is something special.

“Manish and his family are coming to see me in the evening.” She answered, taking a sigh.

Manish Rathore, the guy she loves.

“Oh.” So…that means marriage’s date has not been fixed yet.

Thanks, kanhaji.

“Now, I just want you here before my engagement.” Her voice turned stern and commanding, though the little disappointment remained.

I was about to leave for India yesterday only but then, a very important meeting came up which made me postpone my flight.

After an hour, I’m going to fetch my new flight to India.

“I will be there, I promise. And you know I don’t break them.” I was determined enough about what I just said.

“Yeah, you only know how to break bones, and maybe fragile egos too.” She laughed at her own joke.

“A girl should be an all rounder like me.” Joining her laughter, I replied.

“Okay bye. I need to get ready now. I can’t wait to see you,” A smile formed across my face as she added. “Love you!”

“Yeah, love you too.” We cut off the call with a promise to see each other soon.

My gaze fell upon my personal assistant, Naksh Sharma who was standing in front of my table with patience.

Did I make him wait for long?

“I wanted to talk with you about Zn’s shares.” He finally spoke, breaking the silence.

“Just sell them when the price doubles.” Since I will be leaving New York, their companies’ shares doesn’t matter.

He nodded, going through all the files of Zn’s shares.
