AUTHOR'S POV

"5 Lakh se ek paisa bhi kam nhi lenge hum!!" All the girls demanded in unison.
(We will not take even a single penny less than 5 lakh!!)

"Itne jyada??" Aarti, Aridhi's Mother and Navya, Nandini's mother glared at their daughters.
(This many??)

"Ofcourse!! Manish Bhaiya, If you want your shoes back, give us 5 lakh and that's it." Aridhi glanced at Manoj,"What's say, uncle?"

"Yes. Yes. Ofcourse." Manoj chuckled and looked at his elder son,"Just give them or else walk without shoes!"

"Right. Bro Just give them as many as they wish!" Ruvit said,"Ghum fir k paise ghar mein hi aane hain!" He winked at Aridhi.
(They are going to come to our house, eventually!)

Aridhi shot a glare at him as everyone chuckled.

"Just say that you didn't even try to hide my shoes, Idiot!" Manish rolled his eyes playfully at Ruvit.

Ruvit chuckled as a sinister smile appeared on his face.

"Joote do, Paise lo!" Ruvit shrugged his shoulders as he sat on a chair while manspreading.
(Give Shoes, take money!)

Aridhi stood up from her seat and signalled all her Girls Group.

"Girls! Let's get the shoes and throw them at his face." Aridhi said while forcing a smile at Ruvit in particular.

Ruvit smiled back at Aridhi as she frowned at him.

"What's up with this confidence? Huh..we lost against them, you know?" Dhruv whispered yelled to his best friend.

"Yeah, because of you!!" Ruvit glared at Dhruv,"But you know I'm happy even after losing, because I lost to My Ardhangini. Her win means My win! Her happiness means My happiness!"

"So..you want to deliberately lose to her?" Dhruv nudged his shoulder with Ruvit's.

"Of course not. It won't be fair that way. Anyways, I'm not an idiot like you, I always walk up with backup plans. Just have faith in me!" Ruvit grinned at his best friend.

"Ohh Cool!" Dhruv gave him a thumbs up.

Aridhi opens the box in which the shoes were kept.

But to her surprise there weren't any shoes in the box.

"Where are the Shoes??" One of the girls shouted in surprise.

A Note was kept in the box as Aridhi took it in her hand.

'I can let you win just like that to see that Smile on your face, Ardhangini. But I think we should have a real game.' The Note represented.

Aridhi deposited the note in her purse without getting noticed by others.

She bit back the smile which was about to form on her face.

"Wahh!! I made sure to hide them at a perfect spot but those bastards still found them" Nandini whined.

All the other girls followed her expression. But Aridhi—She was lost in her own thoughts.

By grabbing the hem of her dress, she stood up and suddenly ran away from the room.

All the girls were searching for the shoes in an unused part of the Mansion which was upstairs. As they saw Aridhi running, they followed her.

Aridhi was in mid-stairs when she saw Ruvit just where the stairs are ending.

He was standing there, as if waiting for her only.
