Finally, the day everyone had been eagerly awaiting arrived—the engagement of Ridhima and Manish bhaiya.
I was so excited.
The entire Singhania’s mansion was decorated beautifully, a kaleidoscope of lights and flowers.
Almost all the guests had arrived.
Ridhima was already downstairs, radiating happiness, while I was still getting ready in her room.
The engagement’s theme was a serene blue, a calming contrast to the nervous anticipation fluttering within me.

I left my hair open, a casual cascade around my shoulders, with a light touch of makeup.
Since I was finally ready, I decided to go downstairs and check on the arrangements, eager to join the celebration.
Walking out of the room, I found myself in a difficult situation—I had to take the stairs in heels. Damn.
I clutched my dress from either sides and descended the stairs, each step taken with careful precision.
My eyes roved over the grand hall below, admiring the exquisite decorations.
And then, suddenly, his eyes came into my view. I froze.
My heart hammered against my ribs, the only sound I could hear in that vast, bustling hall.
His gaze seemed to have been waiting for me, piercing through the crowd with an intense, singular focus.
I felt my cheeks burning, a blush spreading rapidly, when his eyes travelled on me, head to toe.
He wasn’t wearing traditional attire, but a sharp, formal suit, yet he looked incredibly handsome.
But wae were the topmost buttons of his shirt undone, revealing just a hint of his chest?
It was an unexpected, captivating detail.
