|MICHEAL&VI|

Micheal pushed the cart forward, sparing a glance to Nightmare following at his side, "Sometime we gotta go to a grocery store that isn't hundreds of miles away, am I right?"

"I apologize, due to the limited nature of my teleportation powers, I cannot take us to a location I do not know of," Nightmare spouted like a broken record, Micheal sighed a moment, Nightmare could be such a killjoy sometimes. Sometimes he wondered if the only emotion Nightmare could feel was schadenfreude.

"That's not what I meant, I mean what if I take you there, like in my car?" Micheal asked, Nightmare taking it into consideration, looking him over with a hidden glint in his eye.

"I can sense the anxiety you feel when you step near the front seat of that death machine," Nightmare rumbled, for once his attention wasn't focused outward, trying to watch every entrance or side, instead he was perhaps just slightly enjoying the conversation he was having with this human, but that couldn't possibly happen regardless.

"You're- you're right.. Well maybe you, me, and everyone else could walk there, the stores only a few minutes on foot," Micheal muttered, growing a little quiet.

"It is simply faster to teleport here," Nightmare's skeletal face curled into a slight smile, especially at Michael's defeated feeling, he felt something else too but it didn't matter, Nightmare pushed that feeling away.

"Yeah but I- I have bad memories here in Ebott city," Micheal muttered, and when Nightmare only tipped his head he spouted a little more, "My upbringing wasn't great.. it wasn't bad but it wasn't good-.."

"Nightmare!" A sharp shocked gasp rang out, causing Micheal to jolt and whirl around. Facing a group of two, a skeleton and a human, the human seeming a little familiar, but Micheal didn't have much time to think before Nightmare stepped in front of him, shielding his view.

"Dream," Nightmare hissed, voice dropping to dangerously low levels, Micheal didn't even have time to think as events unfolded right before his eyes.

All of a sudden Micheal was yanked backwards as a gloved hand was placed over his mouth gently, he thrashed before he was teleported to a new location, head spinning.

Nightmare turned back frantically, giving the appearance he was more worried about the human he was with, yet in the shadows he reached out towards the human Dream was with.

Quick as a snap, Nightmare was gone. So was Dream's friend.

Dream wanted to take hostages? He was willing to reciprocate.

Micheal thrashed in the strangers grip, fear racing through his body, causing adrenaline to start pumping, he had no real fighting skills. He could die.

"Human! It's alright now, Nightmare can't hurt you," he was let go almost as quick as he was grabbed, and he took a moment to breathe. Panting, emotions rushing through him like a wildfire.

"What the fuck?!" He couldn't think of anything else to shout in the moment, glaring at the person or skeleton of which essentially kidnapped him.

"Nightmare can't manipulate you here, you're safe!" The skeleton reiterated and Micheal looked him over, he was tall, or taller than Micheal was, wearing a blue bandana and grey sweater, along with blue gloves, he had white bones and blue eye-lights.
