Hey I'm back! Sorry I have been gone for like forever. I don't know how I feel of this book anymore so I might discontinue it. Anyways I read the last chapter and I forgot what I was going to do with it so this chapter will probably be a mess and I'm apologizing in advance. Hope you enjoy!

??? POV

I was walking through the streets because I was worried about something. Walks help me calm down. I sent a text to my friend and didn't get a reply. Weird. They always immediately respond. I didn't see where I was going because next thing I know a child had run into me. We both feel to the ground and caused people to turn heads in our direction. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!?" I asked as I was getting up. "Yeah I'm fine." I grabbed her hand to help her up and I got a good look at her face. It looked like she was crying and stressed out about something. She was also breathing heavy. "Are you okay?" I wanted to make sure she was fine before I just send her off. "I just told you I was okay." She sounded tired and scared. "What's wrong?" I asked ignoring her answer because it obviously wasn't the truth. "Nothing, now if you excuse me I need to go." Before I could stop her she took off running down the street. There wasn't much I could do, so I just watched her leave.

Julia's POV

"Nothing, now if you excuse me I need to go." I took off and didn't look back. By this point the sky had filled with stars and the moon was starting to show itself again. Anyone who was dressed in darker colors blended in. I almost ran into at least 17 people. The street lamps (I forgot what they are called) started to turn on and illuminate a small area around them. Now that I thought about it, I kind of feel bad for ditching that lady. She was just trying to make sure I was okay. I didn't even get a good look of her because I was so busy trying to get away from her. It's not like I could see much anyways from how much I had been crying. I heard a car honking and next thing I know Elizabeth pulled up and told me to get in. (Get in loser we're going shopping) I jumped in a closed the door behind me. "Police are helping." Was the first thing I said when I got in the car. "Good, any idea of where she could be?" She kept her eyes in the road and kept driving in one direction. "Her parent's house." Two minutes later and I'm giving her directions to the destination. "Keep going strai-" I got cut off by her phone ringing. She answered it and put it on speakerphone. "Hey. Just wanted to make sure you are okay." I recognized that voice. "Is that Leslie Kritzer?" I whispered to Elizabeth. "Yep." She whispered back. "Yeah I'm okay, I'm with one of Lily's friends right now." She said in a louder voice. I said hi. "Wait a minute, are you the girl I bumped into like 20 minutes ago?" Came the voice from the other end of the phone. My eyes widened as I was putting the puzzle pieces together. I finished the puzzle and concluded, yes, I was the girl that ran into her. I mustered up the courage to say something. "Yeah, and I'm sorry about that I was just really stressed." "That's okay, I just wanted to make sure you were safe." "I am." Elizabeth interrupted our conversation. "Les, we got to go. I'll talk to you soon." "Bye and hope you find Lily soon." The call ended and we pulled up at Lily's parent's house.

There were at least 10 cop cars surrounding the area. My eyes scammed the area and found Lily talking to two police officers by one of the cars. We quickly parked our car and ran over to her. I don't think I've ever ran faster in my life. "Lily! You're okay!" She turned and saw us and started running towards us. We hugged each other and I just know I had the most stupid smile on my face. She then went over and hugged Elizabeth. The two cops had been startled by us and both had one hand on a gun that rested in their pocket. "It's fine guys, they are my friends." Lily reassured them. They relaxed and pulled their hand away. One started walking over to me. "Are you Julia Gatlin?" "Yes sir." He held out his hand and I shook it. "Thanks for coming to the station and telling us." I smiled and said thanks for finding Lily. Apparently her parents were not going to jail because they had custody over Lily. The cops did say though that Lily could no longer live with Elizabeth and would have to live with her parents. "I can't go back there!" I heard Lily yell. "Sorry kid, but laws are laws." I was expecting Elizabeth to talk to the officers but she was no where to been seen. I geuss I have to do this job then. "Excuse me, Lily cannot go back there. It's to dangerous and she will be much safer with either me or Elizabeth." He looked at me and said, "Julia, I'm sorry but she has to live with the people who have custody over her." Elizabeth reappeared and offered to drive me home. We got in the car and me and Lily sat in the back while Elizabeth drove. We were silent for a little while until Elizabeth said something. "The officers said that you get two days to get packed up, then you have to go back home."(I'm gonna go back hooommmeee) She had sadness in her voice. Lily looked up. "Can I refuse?" Elizabeth sighed and said, "I don't think you can." We pulled up to my house and I got out. "Bye guys, thanks for everything." I unlocked the front door with the spare key we kept under our doormat. I watched out the window as the car drove away into the night.
