Chapter 13

Ira POV

Today was the weekend and I had planned to lazy around napping, listening to my music when an annoying sound woke me up. It was my ringtone, it was not annoying but it did woke me up so that annoyed me.

I was still half asleep when I took the call

Me: Hello (Yawn)

The caller : Are you seriously, still sleeping ?

Me: Did you seriously call me ask this question ? Do one thing, call me back after two hours then I will answer you

I hung up the call and was about to go back to my awaited slumber when I heard the ringtone again, sleep slowly going away from me

Me: What ?

The caller : Ira 

That voice was familiar, it was deep and it gave me goosebumps like it always gives me. Slowly, I opened one of my eye to look at the caller id, which is when I realized the caller was Arjun

Me: Arjun ?

Arjun: Glad, you got into your senses

Me: No need to taunt okay, its weekend and I was having my long weekend nap

Arjun:  I am sorry to interfere with your sleep but isnt there somewhere you have to be in 1.5 hour ?

When he said that I thought back to my engagements for the day which is when I realized I had to meet Arjun and his family for lunch 

Me: Oh freak, so sorry.  I will get ready, once I am in the cab I will let you know

Arjun: No need to take a cab, I am picking you up. Be ready and call me when your done

Me: But you dont drive, you dont have a car

Arjun: Will you start getting ready rather than wasting our time?

Me: Fine, I will call you once I am almost ready

Arjun: Okay

I sighed and hung up. I ran around trying to figure out what to wear when Meera suggested I wear my floral maxi with ruffled sleeves. I paired it with cream stockings and applied nude make up. 

When I was finishing my final touches on my hair I heard my phone ringing 

Me: Hello 

Arjun: Come down

Me: Okay

I hung up and walked towards my aprtment exit when a black shiny car stood in front of me and Mr. Arjun stood leaning on his car looking at his phone. He was wearing a white tshirt with casual pants with a watch on his wrist. When I went closer I could smell his cologne's spicy and citrusy scent. To conclude, he smelled good and walking close to him, my stomach dipped like when we are in a rollarcoaster.

Me: Hi Arjun

He nodded and gestured me to get into the car 

Me: Arjun, is this your new car ? When did you get it?

Arjun: I selected it a while ago and got it delivered once I got the license issued. 

Me: Well, congratulations

Arjun: What for ?

Me: The new car ?

Arjun: Ira, its no big deal 

Then I realized he gets uncomfortable showing off or recieving compliments 

Me: So, did you take this to temple ?
