Chapter 32

Ira POV

Today was the day when we have a new joinee who would be part of Arjun's team as Arjun is a stickler for punctuality he will be there earlier than usual and because he would be there I have to get there earlier.

I got ready earlier than my usual time and opened my bedroom door to go out. Meera was seated at the couch and gave me a glare, I returned back that glare and rushed out of the house. You are right, we still did not make up for the arguement we had a few days back.

Things have been comfortable between me and Arjun. We go to lunch together, share our lunch, chat about casual stuff and get back to work. Sometimes we are alone and sometimes we are with people, either ways it has been good.

I reached office and in 5 minutes Arjun reached the office. He nodded at me and went to his place setting up his system. I sent the access to the new joinee Pragya and called her to ensure she has started from her place. 

She reached 10 minutes after her reporting time. It is okay with others but Arjun must be annoyed. I had her meet him and she gave a very wide smile, she took a step closer to him and gave her hand for a hand shake. It was not the formal handshake, she held his hand a few seconds longer and she made googly eyes at him, checking him out.

I chuckled inside, she is only making it harder for herself. Arjun must be fuming inside and she must be in his bad books by now. Arjun cleared his throat slowly taking his hand away and looked at me

Arjun: Once you finish her orientation and setting up her system, please let me know. I will take it ahead after that

Me: Okay, Arjun

I took her around to show the office, finished her orientation and finally handed her back to her team. It was lunch time when I sat down at the usual place waiting for Arjun to join me . He was late for the first time and when he finally appeared he had Pragya with him. When she went ahead to place her order I asked him a question out of curiosity

Me: I thought by the way the introduction went you must be fuming but imagine my surprise when she joined us for lunch 

Arjun: Does her joining lunch with us bother you ?

Me: Nah, I just asked considering the morning scene and you are normally reserved and a bit spaced out with others. I did not imagine you inviting her for lunch.

Arjun: I did not, she joined. Normally, when there is a new joinee all the kids ..

Me: They are not exactly kids, they are all between 23-26

Arjun: They are all kids, anyways, they all go out together but she said she will join us as she had a few questions for us and she did not feel like going out

Me: So she invited herself ?

Arjun nodded

Me: It does not bother you ?

Arjun: It did but I realized she is a kid, an extremely extroverted kid with no filter

By then Pragya came back with her fruit salad and sat beside Arjun

Me: Is that your lunch ? You could have fried rice or noodles or a meal plate right ? Those are all good.

Pragya: Mam, actually I am more picky about food. I am normally into salads, sandwiches and smoothies

Me: Oh 

Arjun: Dont mind her expression, she is more into this unhealthy food. She gives the same expression when I eat my food. 

Me: Well its bland and tasteless

Arjun: Its supposed to be healthy 

Pragya: Exactly and the oily food is no good for anyone
