Day 7 - 6/21/15

Hi everyone! Today was a pretty eventful day. Especially compared to yesterday. Today was father's day and it was pretty laid back.

I started the day when I woke up at seven. (Yes, I woke up at seven a.m.). I couldn't sleep in because there was too much sun coming in through my curtains. I need better curtains. So I soon got dresses and was out the door about a half hour later. My mom and I went to our other house and went to work. The garden needed to be tended to, which my mom did. I cleaned out one of the chicken pens and filled all the water and food bowls for them. Then we played a round of cards. Then went back to finish the chicken pens and I let the chickens out to roam in their play pens.

While I was filling up their food bowls I heard a scream. At first I thought it was a goat but I realized it was my mom. She was freaking out because she saw a snake where she was cleaning the yard. I automatically panic inside. I hate snakes. I am terrified of them. So I go on higher ground to see it. I wanted to know if it was a rattler. My mom cautiously went back and tried to get the dogs away when she realized it was dead. It had gotten tangled in some trash. I was so thankful that it was dead. While mom disposed of it I went back to the chicken pens and I realized I was shaking. Not a lot, but still. I told mom to burn the thing but I knew she didn't. She said I would never see it again, but trust me I thin know where she put it and there is no way in hell am I going over to where it was.

After that my mom and I went back in the house for another round of cards and then we left at noon.

I got home and watched a bit of TV and then I took a shower and got dressed again. Again! Since it is father's day we decided to take my dad out to dinner and to a movie. The movie was at 3 and we were going to dinner afterwards. The movie that we saw was Jurassic World. I actually liked it. It was a lot like the first movie.  And Chris Pratt. He was H.O.T.!!! Seriously, hot!

After the movie was over we went to dinner at the Lazy Dog. The food was good and very filling. I got sweet and spicy chicken and my mom got pizza. My uncle got pasta, dad got salmon, and my brother got a burger. I thought the restaurant was owned by Toby Keith. But it is not. It is owned by the sons of the people who own Marie Callender's.

I am now laying in bed and it is almost 9:30. Sadly I am still sick. Thankfully I am home tomorrow and I can just lay in bed all day and do nothing.

I almost forgot. I learned something today. I learned that poison oak doesn't effect everybody. Someone has to be allergic to it. I didn't know that. My mom told me she never got it when she was a kid. She used to ride in the mountains and all through it and she would never get it. The funny thing is that she would pass it on to my grandmother through her clothes. My mom thinks she could get it now that she is older. Even though I know that not all people can get it I am not going to risk it.

It is now past 10 and I am forcing myself to drink more airborne. I already took meds.

Okay I think it is time for bed. Night all!
