it had been a few weeks since Red Bull had revealed that I would drive for them and I had become someone all the F1 fans were talking about. It was time for the launch of the Red Bull car for this year. We would travel to New York for a few days before the premiere to be able to go through everything. Me, Max and Christian went on the same jet so we could prepare. It was clear that Max didn't like me but I didn't understand why and right now wasn't the right time to ask him.

The whole trip was strange. Every time I said something Max would make passive aggressive comments and Christian told him several times but gave up when he didn't stop. I felt welcomed by the whole team except my teammate.

we arrived in New York and we arrived at the hotel. Christian checked us in and it turned out I had my room next to Max which made him sigh loudly. Tomorrow was the premiere of our new car so I tried to think about that instead of Max's crappy attitude.

I opened my door to my hotel room and I couldn't believe my eyes. everything was glamorous and modern. I went to bed and exhaled for a few minutes before choosing to call Carmen. me and Carmen had become very close friends since she and George got together.
"hey girl" i said when she answered. "hi mini russell" she said laughing. I saw in her face that it was late at night in England. "sorry did I wake you" I asked when I realized there was a big time difference. "no, how's the situation"

"everything is fine but Max really doesn't like me and I don't know why. I don't know him but still he has something against me so the launch tomorrow will be difficult"

"shit on him. that's how he is, you have to do your thing and focus on the season and if he's shit, I'll come and talk to him"

I laughed at her threat. we continued talking for a while before she needed to sleep. we hung up and I heard someone knock on the door. I went to open it and saw that Christian was outside.

"haven't you seen my texts" he asked

"no i've unfortunately been a bit busy" I explained. God what a good impression I'm making right now.

"we have to go to the hall and prepare everything"

we went to the hall where we were going to launch the car tomorrow and went over all the little details we would have to do tomorrow. everything felt good and I had a good feeling about the launch tomorrow because I knew Max wouldn't do anything in front of lots of cameras and people.

after a few hours we went to the hotel again and when I got to my room I went directly into the shower before going to sleep. I put on a movie in the background before I managed to fall asleep.

it was morning and i woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm. i loved to snooze but i couldn't do it today. i went to the bathroom and put on some makeup and curled my hair. i was walking down to the lobby waiting for my taxi when i heard someone sighing behind me. "what are you doing here" Max asked obviously annoyed that I was here. "I'm waiting for my taxi because if you've forgotten, I'll be at the launch too"
