As if | Max Verstappen

It was Sunday and finally time to race again. I had been in the gym all evening trying to beat him, Max Verstappen. I woke up to my alarm and almost sleepwalked to the bathroom and to the shower. I turned on the shower and let it run while I brushed my teeth.

when I got out of the shower I put on my clothes and went down to the restaurant to have breakfast. I met George down there and we sat down at a table to eat in peace. I had taken a lot of fruit and vegetables while George took a smoothie and almost anything he could get his hands on.

I saw Lando come down and he was very focused on breakfast so he walked right past us. I tried to get his attention and it turned out that I had succeeded because when he had breakfast he came towards us with a smile on his face.

"Are you guys ready for the race today" Lando said happily and sat down.

"no" I said firmly.

"but come on Bells, you start better than me today. don't be mad" George replied.

I was supposed to start on the third row today in fifth place after a bad qualifying on my part. I had made a mistake in the last corner and it resulted in me losing first place. when I jumped out of the car, Max walked past me and had a giant smile on his face as if to mock me.

me, george and lando sat and continued talking until i heard danny's loud laugh so i turned to greet him but i saw him with max. Lando got mad right away and was about to say something when I asked him not to make a scene.

Max gave me another annoying grin and I turned back to ignore him. Danny and Max walked past us and started to eat their breakfast and I decided to hurry to the paddock.

I said goodbye to George and Lando but when I got up Lando came after me. I laughed at Lando because he had been acting as my bodyguard all weekend. we jumped into each car and I called Lando straight away so we could talk on the way there.

out on the roads we tried to race against each other on the roads but it was almost impossible with all the other cars on the road. we got to the parking lot at the same time and when we got out we competed to see who could get to the scan first. Lando who still didn't understand that I was faster than him so he complained that I was cheating because I got there first. I just laughed at his complaining and scanned my passport.

we were walking towards our hospatility when someone called out to us. at first we didn't understand that it was our names we heard but when the shout got louder we stopped and turned around.

"do you have to lose your voice for you to hear me or" it was Lando's father who had called us.

"Hi Adam" I said happily and gave him a hug.
