I'm sure I'll get traffic tickets after the journey to the hospital. It can't be any different, with my wife tossing and turning in pain in the car seat. Even with the adrenaline coursing through my veins, I manage to remain calm, knowing that it won't help me to be so nervous. Even though I'm freaking out inside, I show seriousness about the situation, to keep it under control. It works.

- "I think I'd better go out and call a nurse to pick you up with a wheelchair" I say, as soon as I park in front of the hospital. My wife says nothing, just grumbles and squirms some more. She appears to be in a lot of pain. "Don't get out of here" I say out of habit, without even realizing it, but the look that settles in her eyes makes me shiver a little. Did I talk nonsense? Of course, I said it, because her answer made me tremble:

- "Get out of my sight, Luiza!"

If a human being could growl in any way, I might describe the way my wife just spoke to me as a human growl. She seems really angry, but I can understand her very well. I was also very uncomfortable with the contractions during Gabriel's pregnancy.

On the way to reception, I have to dodge some people. I'm panting, but I try to stay calm, knowing that my wife needs me now. I must look crazy.

- "I need help. My wife is in labor, can I ask someone to pick her up? She's in the car out front."

I'm slightly flustered, and the receptionist looks at me with an air of amusement. It is likely that she is more than accustomed to witnessing situations like this in her daily life. Despite everything, he quickly picks up the phone and calls someone, informing them of the situation.

- "A nurse is on the way, with a chair for your wife. I request that you remain calm, we will take good care of her."

- "Ok," I respond quickly and, without wasting time, I ask her name or anything else, going to where my wife is. Her side of door is open, and as I walk around the car, I can see our little ones fanning her with their hands. This makes me smile a little. "Baby, the nurse is coming to pick you up. Can you stand?"

She quickly shakes her head, letting out a painful groan. Gabriel whimpers and tries to hug her, but I pull him closer to me, hugging him to my legs. The nurse doesn't take long to arrive, which makes me feel relieved.

- "Good evening, ladies!"

- "Campos- Albuquerque. I'm Luiza, she's Valentina, help her." I speak quickly, as he approaches to

- "I'm Gabi!" my son suddenly exclaims, which makes the tense atmosphere a little lighter. Even my wife lets out a laugh, amidst the grimace of pain. The nurse helps Valentina sit in the chair and takes her into the hospital. I feel momentarily relieved, knowing that she is now in good hands.

- "Boys, I need your help. Aunt Carol will come to pick you up, because the mothers will need to stay here for a while, while your sisters are not born."

- "Mom Lolo well?" Gabriel questions, as I take them inside the hospital too. My son is making a lot of progress in speaking, but he still can't formulate some sentences correctly. It's lovely to see him talking, but Valentina and I always help him, correcting his sentences to encourage learning.

- "Yes, my love. Your mother is fine, she will just need a few hours to bring your sisters to us. Do you want to meet them?"

The little one waves frantically, making his wavy hair sway with the movement. I confess that I tried to take Gabriel to cut his hair a little, but he didn't want to, he wanted to look like his brother. Valentina and I just asked the hairdresser to trim the front, so as not to obstruct the view, the same way we do with Leo. I love the fact that the two of them are together, it's adorable. I'm sure it will be like that with the twins too.
