Rapunzel stayed over Tyler's house the last night, but she had been in bed for quite a while. "You've got to get up sometime, Rapunzel," Tyler told the girl, rolling his eyes with a smile on his face at his friend's antics. But she didn't reply like he expected her to. Tyler approached his friend, no longer smiling, shaking her shoulder.

"Rapunzel?" Tyler spoke, trying to get a reaction out of her. She wouldn't move. He listened closely, and the girl was breathing but it seemed strained, as if she could barely breathe, and there was a fresh layer of sweat that doused her forehead. Tyler put his hand on her forehead, finding that she was boiling hot. And then things got worse as she started to shake, and her eyes were opened but they rolled back. "Mum!" Tyler yelled down, "Mason!". The boy tried holding Rapunzel still as she continued to shake, clearly having some sort of seizure.

Mason and Carol ran up the stairs and into Tyler's room, seeing Rapunzel having a seizure on Tyler's bed. Mason turned to Carol telling her, "Call an ambulance", before rushing over to Tyler and Rapunzel, making sure a pillow was below her head and checking that she was still breathing. Soon enough, the ambulance arrived at the Lockwood mansion and Tyler rode with Rapunzel in the vehicle as they rushed her to the hospital.

Elena was in the bathroom talking to Jeremy who was leaning on the door frame when she got a call from Tyler. It was a coincidence as the siblings/cousins were just talking about how Mason is a werewolf meaning Tyler probably was. Elena picked up her phone greeting him with, "Hey Tyler, what's up?"

"You've got to come down to the hospital," Tyler told the doppelganger, who furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Jeremy straightened up, worried about why Tyler would call Elena telling her to go there.

"Why, what's up?" Elena asked, having not spoken to the possible werewolf in weeks.

"Rapunzel was staying round mine, but this morning she wouldn't wake up, and she started seizing and... Look, they don't know what's wrong yet and the doctors won't tell me shit. I was gonna call Stefan or Damon, but I don't have their number, so come down here and bring whoever you think should come," Tyler informed her before hanging up. Elena looked at Jeremy in shock, her eyes watering.

"I'll start the car, you call everyone," Elena told her brother, passing him her phone as the siblings/cousins headed downstairs to go to the hospital.

Elena, Jeremy, and Jenna finally arrived at the hospital, finding Tyler sitting on a bench, hunched over, as he waited for news on his friend. On the way there, Jeremy and Jenna made sure to call Stefan, Damon, Caroline, and Bonnie to tell them what was happening. Jenna even called John to tell him what happened, but she had to leave a voicemail.

Elena rushed over to Tyler who stood up, allowing the girl to pull him into a hug, that just made him kiss Rapunzel more. Soon enough Elena pulled away and Jenna asked him "Any news?" Tyler shook his head, "No, they still don't know what's wrong. But they asked for her information, but I don't know the stuff they're asking," he told them, going along with the lie they told everyone about Rapunzel, how she was the Salvatore's half-sister.

Not long after the Gilbert's arrived, Stefan and Damon appeared, heading straight towards the small group who formed. "What happened? What do we know?" Stefan asked them all, being the more level-headed one out of the two brothers.

"Nothing yet," Elena told them. Jenna turned to Tyler, noticing how tired he looked, and she assumed he hadn't eaten.

"Come on, let's go get something to eat. Pretty sure I saw a vending machine down one of the corridors," Jenna told the boy, feeling bad for him as he was obviously worried about his friend. When the two were gone, Elena turned to the Salvatores. "Can't you do something to help her? Give her some blood?"
