When Damon opened the tomb, only to find out that Katherine wasn't there, he stormed into the woods, not wanting to hear his brother's voice "comforting" him, or hear Elena speak full stop, as she looked and sounded identical to the woman who broke...

It had been two days since Klaus left and Rapunzel was worried sick. It had become clear that he was still alive as Katherine still couldn't leave, but that didn't ease Rapunzel's worries. Sure, she was technically allowed to leave, but she didn't want to. Klaus told her she was safe in Alaric's apartment, so she would stay there and wait for him, knowing she was safe, although she may not be for much longer.
Over the two days, Katherine had been stress drinking, but then she finished all the alcohol in the apartment, so she started stress eating, and then had made them run out of food. In other words, Rapunzel was in an apartment with no food, aswell as a starving, stressed vampire. That did not look so good. Luckily, they hadn't yet run out of blood bags.
But she had a new phone that Klaus got her, so the Mystic Falls supernatural group couldn't contact her, but her actual friend group she had the numbers of. So, most of the day she spent texting them, or talking to Katherine. She also spent a little time on her sketchbook. However, in that time Rapunzel managed to paint Katherine once, and Klaus another three times.
She was hungry, but she ignored it, and focused on her worry for Klaus. It overshadowed pretty much anything. Even her friends were getting tired of Rapunzel worrying how she hadn't seen her friend "Nik" in two days. But she couldn't help it. She became attached to him and she couldn't untatch. Katherine was no longer amused by the blonde, in fact she thought if she had to spend another day with her, she'd lose it and kill Rapunzel.

Rapunzel was sitting on Alaric's bed, legs crossed as she watched something on the TV. She hadn't really expanded her modern knowledge into shows or movies, but she was bored and anxious and this seemed like a good solution. So, she was now watching some show called "Misfits" and it was very good, although a bit inappropriate. But Rapunzel loved Nathan, she didn't know why, but she did.
She was watching episode 4 of the season, laughing at the fact that Nathan actually did get arrested over Pick n Mix, when she heard a noise as someone entered the apartment. She paused the show as she rushed out, banging Alaric's door on the wall as she exited. Everyone was looking at her, but she didn't notice as she was only looking at one person. Klaus.
She ignored everyone else, as she ran towards the Hybrid, jumping on him, causing him to have to steady himself and wrap his arms around the blonde so she didn't fall. Rapunzel had her arms around his neck, and her head buried into his shoulder, as she mumbled "Thank goodness you're okay. I was so worried." Klaus smiled, happy that someone cared about his welfare for the first time in who knows how long.
Klaus turned back to the people in the room who looked shocked at the blonde's attachment to the hybrid. Most shocked of all had to be between Elijah and Stefan. Elijah, as he never expected to see his brother act this way with a human, let alone the one human he would consider his friend and maybe even family. And Stefan, as when Damon told him Rapunzel was taken by Klaus, they all assumed he killed her, not that she was in Alaric's apartment the entire time. As she was alive, Stefan no longer needed anything from Klaus, as Rapunzel's blood was also the cure to a werewolf bite.
