Down trodden, Rapunzel began to leave the Grill. But then she was stopped by a hand grabbing hold of hers. She turned her head, only to meet the most beautiful man she had ever seen in her life. "Hello, sunflower," he greeted her with a small smile.

Rapunzel lit up like a tree on Christmas Day, as she breathed out, "Klaus."

"In the flesh," Klaus confirmed. He couldn't help but just admire her. She seemed to always look effortlessly beautiful. Her top fit her perfectly, and her skirt flowed around her legs like an angel's wings. And her hair framed her face like a masterpiece of art. He never wanted to look away again. However, he could tell that the heels she wore were uncomfortable as he could see her shaking knees, and they started getting some looks from other people in the Grill.

He gestured towards the seat she previously occupied, "Shall we sit?" Rapunzel smiled brightly at him as she sat down, and only after she was in fact sat down, Klaus sat down opposite her.

"I thought you were not going to join me," Rapunzel commented in a sad tone. Klaus' heart broke. He really did not mean to be late.

"Apologies a thousand times over," Klaus found that when talking to her, he seemed to refer back to how he used to talk, when the Internet hadn't even been invented, "My witches took longer than anticipated in getting me back in my body."

Rapunzel tilted her head quizzically, "What do you mean by that?"

Klaus furrowed his eyebrows, "I was inhabiting Alaric's body for two days. Did your friends not tell you?" Rapunzel shook her head sadly. If Klaus was as cruel as the gang thought he was, he could've manipulated Rapunzel or hurt her easily as he was disguised as Alaric, because she didn't know. Yet her so called friends didn't care. Klaus, noting her sadness, tried to brighten her up a bit, "But it's all okay now. I'm in my body and I'm breaking the curse tomorrow on the full moon."

Rapunzel lit up, although she immediately felt guilty doing so. She wanted Klaus to break his curse, as she knew how much he hurt knowing a side of him is locked away, but at the same time, Elena was once a good friend of Rapunzel's, and she didn't want her to die.

Klaus saw the mental torment the blonde was going through, and decided to grab her hands, bringing her attention towards her. "They don't care about you, Sunflower. You don't need to feel guilty about wishing on someone's death. Especially if that person only cares for themselves, and no one else," she smiled greatfully at him. He was right. Elena only ever cared about herself. She didn't care that she was driving a wedge between the Salvatore's relationship. She didn't care that everyone was getting hurt and dying because of her. Because their dying for her.

Rapunzel fiddled with his hands, "I know, but it is still the loss of life, and I can not wish death on anyone."

Klaus smiled sympathetically at her before offering, "If you want, you can stay away while the sacrifice is commencing. You won't have to worry about anything concerned with the sacrifice." Rapunzel thought it over in her head.
