As the sun climbed from the east horizon its rays bathed the town of Wesche and pierced through the window of an inn, illuminating the bedroom where a female Scaleborn was coiled around a white Human man.
-Alimuuuur, wake up- The words were softly let out by the green scaled serpentine woman with a tail for legs while staring at the unarmored warrior with her golden eyes.
-I've been up for some time now Mia, and if you'd be so kind to uncoil me so I can wake up the rest of the team I'd be glad- Spoke Alimur in a slightly annoyed tone while gazing at Mia with his dark blue eyes.
-Fine, but the others are already up- grumbled Mia as she let go of Alimur and equipped her iron armor that went halfway to her tail.
As Mia left the room annoyed she didn't get more attention Alimur armored himself with his riveted leather breastplate over chainmail, put on on his horned metal helmet with a T shaped visor, a heirloom from his father, and attached his greatsword to his back, with a final look he scouted the room to make sure none of his possessions were left behind, finally he closed the door and went down the stairs to meet with his team, halfway through the stairs he heard a burp followed by a deep growly voice.
-Looook... who finali decidede to joinus!- A burly man bear with bare chest, chainmail and linen wrapped around his waist and a beaten horned half helmet upon his head said as he stumbled his words while raising a large mug of beer.
-The sun is barely up and you're already that drunk Jorn?- Rebuked Alimur as he reached the last step of the staircase and crossed his arms.
-I'm sorry sir, but I was powerless to stop him- A tall skinny pointy eared bald woman dressed in a simple deep red robe shyly answered.
-It's alright Jen, Jorn has always been like that- Alimur said in an attempt to comfort the Telfan.
-Sir with all due respect you already wield a large weapon, why do we need Jorn?- A lizard man wearing blackened leather with a black hooded cape asked angrily while getting up from his seat and pointing at the Beastkin.
-He draws the enemies attention and can take more punishment than I can, everyone has a job in this team Salazar- Answered Alimur as he sat down beside Mia.
-YEAH- screamed Jorn happily raising his mug.
Salazar heavily sighed in response, as he reajusted himself in his chair.
After an hour or so of chatting and eating the team paid the innkeeper and left towards the guard post for any jobs.
-Alimur and his gang, nice to see you guys again, here for more work I assume?- the human guard inside the booth asked lifting his head from his crossed arms.
-Yes, but we are a bit tired of small groups of bandits, I know they need to be dealt with, but the duke's guard can cover it more often than not, so do you have anything different?-
-Well, it's not a major concern yet but it's been two weeks since the last letter from Trion came in- Awsered the guard pointing behind him to a neatly organized pile of letters.
-And what was the letter about?-
-It was a letter from the leader of the village to the stowrfling miners, something about a cave full of rubies-
-And that is of no importance?-
-well, rubies are mostly used as food by the stowrflings, and the head miner sent a letter back saying that the villagers could just pluck them from the ground and send them this way, everyone just assumed they're just pilling as much as they can to send it in one big batch- The guard stretched his arms as far as he could to represent the batch.
