Nine days at sea with constant storms and crashing waves, Alimur was plagued with visions following the creature's words, everything he has ever know destroyed and burned with the growly voice reminding.
-Death and Destruction-
His own hands covered in shadows as he overlooked the death filled horizon.
He awoke, bags under his eyes due to lack of proper sleep and Aurora watched with concern for him.
-Ali, you know you can rely on me for anything right?-
-I thought this would simply go away, but it has been persistent and won't let go, unlike the nightmares that were about... I don't want to remember... it's visions of "Death and Destruction" and the damn thing keeps repeating these words, then the darkness takes over-
-I'm sure we can figure something out together-
-Maybe we can try those meditations from Salokir-
-I can definitely use the Icon to make them stronger-
-Where's Velka?-
-I let her out to fly around-
-A few weeks ago you were desperate over it-
-Well, she's a big bird now-
The couple laughed together and left their cabin, the sun was shining for once and the waters were peaceful only the wind held over the boat.
-Captain Anurma, how long to Grimacreage?- Alimur questioned with a serious tone.
-Just a few more hours if the wind doesn't let up- He answered.
Alimur thanked the captain, Aurora pulled her husband to the far end of the deck and motioned for him to sit down, she placed her hands on his head and inbued them with light, the Human concentrated and pulled forth the beast that plagued him.
Velka returned and landed beside her owners, rain began to fall soon after and with it the waters sung a somber tune.
-No- The captain whispered to himself.
-TO BATTLE POSTS! THE KRYDAR COMES!- Anurma shouted and pulled his crossbow, he loaded it and gritted his teeth.
The young couple's meditation was broken and Alimur got up coated in shadows.
A beast emerged from the waters, scales all over its body, tentacles coming from either side of the boat and trapping it, a pair of glowing blue eyes, long arms with clawed webbed hands, its head sleek... another head emerged this one horned, the two heads unleashed a booming roar.
One of the crew man rushed to fight the beast with nothing but a sword in his hand, the Krydar took him with one hand and bit the man's upper body ripping him in half in mere seconds .
-PARDAM NO!- Another crew man screamed.
The couple and pet dodged the creature's bite from the horned head with the male unsheathing his blade and the females taking flight, the Human rushed underneath it and with a swing to the neck he decapitated the beast, Aurora fought the other head that tried to bite her but with a bash from her shield the beast was dissuaded.
The stump Alimur had cut off gargled and trembled before two more heads appeared in its place.
-ALIMUR! CUT OFF ITS TENTACLES TO FREE THE SHIP!- Aurora shouted from to her husband.
Alimur readied himself and cut the tentacles one by one while dodging bites and swipes from the Krydar, Velka pecked the eyes and blined a head, Aurora pierced one of the beast's eyes and all three heads converged in trying to bite her making her narrowly dodge the attacks, the tentacles retreated from the ship and the crew men took to the ballistae.
