Chapter 24: Bad Omen

-Alimur, in a few days you leave to Elantaheim to deliver your friend's skull correct?- Mufam asked as he sat beside the Human.

-Yes... why do you ask?-

-Alexander is going to make you and your girlfriend a badge... I wanted to know if you couldn't check on my wife a bovine and my little girl... she's a chimera, horns, hooves and half a mane tied in a ponytail... she wouldn't be happy seeing me- The Beastkin explained in a somber tone.

-Wouldn't it be better for you to see them yourself?-

-It would... my wife understands, but my daughter... it's been five years since we last saw each other face to face, and I have to stay here to manage the relations between the Beastkin amongst themselves and other races- The lion looks at the ceiling and sighs heavily.

-Write a letter for them, but right now- Alimur holds the Beastkin's shoulder -Let's train-

Mufam shakes his head, gets up and speaks in a loud growly tone.

-No mercy boy-

The Gaisgeach nods, summons his arm, unsheathes his sword and coats it in a dark mist, the lion readies his shield, summons an ice sword and roars.

Alimur charges at Mufam and swiftly slashes five times, the Beastkin blocks four of the attacks and on the last one he swats the Human's sword away and tries to pierce his chest, the Gaisgeach grabs the ice blade with his shadow arm, pulls it bringing Mufam along and headbutting him, the Beastkin lets go of the sword, grabs Alimur's neck with his paw and throws him at the small arena's wall.

The Gaisgeach uses his aspect to create a soft construct to mitigate the impact, he hits the construct and quickly regains his footing, Mufam creates an angled ice pillar to hit Alimur but he rolls to the side successfully avoiding the attack in the process, the Human swings his arm in an arc and throws various small shadow daggers at the Beastkin, Mufam blocks all of them by extending his shield with ice, but as he drops his guard to see the Human another dagger hits his face and blinds him.

Alimur dashes towards Mufam, the Beastkin's ears twitch, he sniffs the air and smirks, the Human tried to put his sword to the Council man's neck but is forced to roll to the side from a strong front kick, Mufam laughs, the Gaisgeach sighs and a dark aura surrounds him, Alimur jumps at the lion and is struck by a powerful punch... the attack however did not faze him and he released an onslaught of slashes and kicks at the Beastkin.

The Human was about to cut Mufam's neck off, but the Beastkin resisted by covering his paws in a thick ice and held the blade, grueling seconds pass and Alimur is hit by an orb of light that explodes on contact, releasing a strong light.

The Gaisgeach lifted his torso from the ground and shook his head.

-Save that as a last resort- Alexander spoke with a serious tone and approached the downed Human.

-I... lost it again-

-Hmm, Alexander's right kid you do not have full control of that yet- Mufam grunted and cracked his limbs.

-Hahahaha almost wish you had used your aspect- Frederick approached from behind Alexander.

-Frederick what_?-

-I'm getting my family uniforms for the new job on this kind man's behalf, he also built us a building in the Beastkin district, get this IN MERE MINUTES! HAHAHA- Frederick grabbed Alexander's shoulder and shook it.

-Alimur come with me we'll try working on your ace, and after that I'll give you the badges-

The Gaisgeach and the Council man left the room and Frederick spoke to Mufam.
