Alimur muffles his final scream with his hand before fainting, Aurora softly lays him on the couch.

-Strip him, I need to see the wound properly- Rosaria commands while holding the Human's hand and putting two fingers together on his wrist.

-Y-yes- Aurora responds with a hiccup and worry in her voice.

The Demi-Human removes the Human's clothes as fast as she can leaving only his pants, she curls up its leg of the bitten leg exposing black veins climbing up from the dark wound oozing a purpleish green liquid, she gags and covers her mouth.

Rosaria inspects the wound closely, after concluding her analysis she orders her daughter.

-Bring me a Jinetha root and a cloth-

-A whole one?-

-Of course, look at his state!-

Aurora nods and rushes to the basement, inside it a few torches dimly iluminated the room, a few pots with sand and small dark brown trees with white leaves rested on a corner, she picked the closest one and ripped it from its pot, sand flew everywhere, the Demi-Human used her claw to cut the second biggest root and a glowing white liquid flowed from the wounded plant, she put it back into the pot and rushed upstairs root in hand, she quickly goes into the kitchen and grabs a cloth that was hanging from the wall and rushes to her mother, the woman arrives at the living room and hands the root to her mother, Rosaria opens Alimur's mouth and places the root inside.

-Make him chew it-

Aurora lays the cloth close to his feet, then she places one claw atop her friend's head and the other on his chin, she turns his head to the side and simulates a chewing motion, after a few seconds she stops at her mother's command.

-Now look closely- Rosaria places her hand over the wounded foot and her hands release a soft glow -The aspect of light isn't merely what we can see and feel from the sun or a bonfire, it's also intrinsically connected to... let's call it the life aspect, in that manner we can harness our light aspects to redirect the world flow in a healing way, this is a technique held by few High Scaleborn... I didn't pass it down to you cause I thought it not necessary- The elder sighs -It seems you'll need it to help both your friend and yourself-

Rosaria's hands stop glowing and the black veins very slightly fade, the mother picks up the cloth and presses it against the wound, it oozes out a lot of the liquid staining the white cloth with a sickly purpleish green, the Scaleborn maintained pressure for a few minutes, silence filled the atmosphere, Rosaria was sure Alimur would pull through easily meanwhile her Daughter was visibly nervous, seeing that the mother questions the Demi-Human.

-Why don't you tell me how this happened-

Aurora nods and starts telling her, leaving out her friend's brutality, after finishing the Scaleborn nods and removes the cloth from Alimur's wound.

-Even though this is a new sort of... toxin, the flow redirection is more than enough to cleanse the body of any impurities-

-But do you think he'll wake up soon?-

-I'm sure, you said it's been barely three hours, and looking at his leg I can tell that wasn't enough time for the toxin to spread far, he might need to take it easy for a day or two-

Aurora looks at the Human's chest and sighs, the Demi-Human hovers her hands on his chest and copies what her mother was doing, the three small claw marks fade slightly, she sighs again, kneels on the ground and rests her head beside her unconscious friend.
