Chapter 5: Savior

Alimur's mind flashes between a conscious and unconscious state, he opens his eyes only to see Mia's lifeless body, then they close against his will, they open back up and he sees the ground moving and partially obstructing his view a tail with white scales and two scaled feet of the same color with toes sticking out of their backs, his vision fades once more, now he hears voices two females talking about something unfortunately his tired mind cannot comprehend a single word, his mind falters and he slips back into the abyss of his own mind.

Time passes and Alimur opens his eyes once more, this time he can see things clearly, sunlight peeks through a window and the first thing he sees is a dark blue celling with yellow stars adorning it, he looks to both sides to his right a pink wall, to his left a small bedside table with a cup of water sitting on it, he reaches for the cup with his left arm only to notice it was now missing, Alimur stares at his missing limb bewildered at the situation, and like a sharp blade piercing his head the memories of his last conscious moment flood back.

-MIA!- He screams and starts gasping for air, he clutches the blanket covering him and fights against the tears.

A tall woman rushes into the room and looks directly at Alimur with understanding and a hint of sadness in her eyes, Alimur snaps his head to look at the person and takes note of her features a Demi-Human wearing a frilled white dress, her hands were scaled, her legs resembled that of a dragon's, large wings coming from her back, her scales as white as clouds, her face looked young and was very human with only two patches of scales on her cheeks, the white of her scales complemented her fair skin.

-I'm... sorry for disturbing you- Alimur says as he looks back down still holding in tears.

-Not at all, I'm glad you're awake was starting to think I had a dead body on my bed- The Demi-Human replies with a chuckle -Oh almost forgot, my name is Aurora pleased to meet you-

-I'm Alimur, thank you for saving me- Alimur let's go of the covers, he reaches for the water cup and drinks it all swiftly -How long have I been out for?-

-Five maybe six days, I think I found you just a few hours after whatever happened in Huia, me and my mom took care of your wound and cauterized it after, maybe you can get a new arm in Luldnaw?-

-What about the others?-

-I'm Sorry you and the Telfan were the only ones breathing...-

Alimur goes wide eyed and interrupts -JEN?-

-No, she... passed soon after, she handed me her satchel and told me to take care of you-

Alimur closes his eyes and goes deep in thought.

-Alimur, if it doesn't bother you I buried her and made a pyre for the other two-

-No, thank you, I'm just sad I wasn't the one to do it, so truly thank you Aurora.... wait other two, didn't you see a Beastkin?-

-No there was only you, a Telfan and two Scaleborns-

Alimur slams his arm on the wall -THAT BASTARD-

A white colored high Scaleborn rushes into the room with a scythe made of light and looks straight at Alimur with a killer look, the female's demeanor quickly changes once she detects no danger in the room, she unsummons her weapon and speaks.

-Sorry, I thought something bad had happened, Aurora dear will you come with me? Don't worry boy she'll be back pretty soon- She leaves the room with Aurora in tow which closes the door behind her, and Alimur is left alone with his thoughts.

-He seems to be pretty shaken up-

-He is a bit erratic yes, don't ask him about what happened in Huia it'll only flare him up more and he needs to recover-
