Chapter 7: Guidance

The sun was about to set however instead of relaxing Rosaria and Alimur were training in front of the house, the Human backsteped to avoid the horizontal slice from the Scaleborn's scythe, and stabbed at her shoulder with his shadow longsword, she sidestepped, stopped the fight and unsummoned her weapon and armor, Alimur did the same to his arm and sword.

-Good, you've been able to maintain your summons for longer-

-All thanks to you miss Seles- Alimur replied while walking away and sitting beside Aurora against the house's wall.

-I'll give you ten minutes, then both of you have to fight me- Rosaria commanded as she sat down on the dirt, crossed her legs and started meditating.

Aurora looked at Alimur and patted his head -You're getting better, that's good to see-

-Well, I don't think I could've done it without you two pushing me- Alimur lowered his head and closed his eyes.

-Hey, don't go back to that, I need you focused and strong to fight mom, she won't take it easy especially if it's the two of us-

Alimur lifts his head up and opens his eyes, and sighs -You're right-

-Look, I know losing people is hard, I'm not going to pretend I know exactly what you're going through, but you can't keep bashing yourself for what happened, it's been seven days since you woke up, the nightmares might keep coming, but you're strong and I've seen how determined you are to make things right, SO FIGHT THE NIGHTMARES LIKE THE WARRIOR YOU ARE- Aurora raises her closed fist and pumps it.

Alimur looks deeply into Aurora's glistening golden eyes, he sees her determination to help him, the Human smiles and gives his friend a hug, she hugs back tightly and uses her wings to hug too, they remain like this for a few seconds and let go, and for the first time since Wesche Alimur gives a genuine bright smile, Aurora pats him again before play punching him.

-Alright let's go drink some water before fighting mom-

Alimur nods in response and the pair walk into the house, Rosaria looks at the two and smiles, a few minutes later the friends walk out of the house and stand in front of the Scaleborn, she gets up and summons her scythe and armor, Alimur summons his arm and longsword, Aurora summons her spear and armor.

-Let us begin-

Rosaria backsteps, spins her scythe horizontally above her head and throws it at Alimur, he crouches and slides forward thrusting at the Scaleborn's chest, she dodges to the side without moving too far from where she stood and punched him in the stomach, Aurora grabs the spinning scythe, flies up and throws it back at her mother along a spear right after, Alimur recovers from the hit and rolls to the side, the mother catches her scythe by the blade with both hands, but before she can reajust her grip on the weapon she is hit in the chest by a spear, Alimur takes the window and slashes at Rosaria's arm, Aurora soon follows by slamming the Scaleborn with full force from above, the scythe fades, the two start throwing punches and soon the mother proves victorious by pushing her daughter aside, as soon as the Demi-Human leaves her sight she sees Alimur jumping torwards her ready to slam his blade onto the woman, she rolls along the ground and backflips off of it landing smoothly and summoning another scythe.

-Very good, don't let me hav_-

Alimur interrupts by throwing his sword, she catches it and smiles.

-You can tell us how we did after we beat you, mom- Aurora summons another spear and flaps her wings to lift herself off the ground.

Rosaria created a sphere of light and exploded it, flashing and blinding Aurora and Alimur momentarily, she went behind Alimur and kicked him away, her daughter recovered and threw a spear at her, she dodged and grabbed the spear throwing it back at Aurora, she dodges it and flies out of sight, Alimur recovers and jumps at Rosaria unleashing a flurry of kicks and punches, she blocks everything and slices at his head, he blocks using his shadow arm and grips the scythe's handle with his free hand, the two struggle against each other for control over the weapon, but Alimur wins as Aurora twirls her spear and slams it at her mother's head, he reverses his grip on the scythe and grabs Rosaria with it lifting her off the ground and slamming her back down, she flaps her wings to get away, but her daughter swiftly deliveres another attack, she dodges and grabs her daughter's arm then slams her into the ground, the Demi-Human struggles to lift herself up but is knocked out by her mother slamming both her feet on Aurora's head, the girl's armor fades, the mother sighs before narrowly avoiding a slash from Alimur, he keeps the offensive repeatedly slashing at the Scaleborn, she dodges and blocks most attacks before catching the blade and pulling on it bringing along the man, she grabs his arm, throws him over her head and slams him into the ground, his arm fades and he spits out some blood and gasps for air.
