Chapter 14 - Liam

"Liam! You okay boy? You seem a bit off lately" Louis said as we waited for our flights at the airport. Harry and Niall already left, leaving me and Lou.

We had a 2 month break so I'll be going to Wolverhampton. Spend some time with my family.

"Yeah I'm okay" I gave him a fake smile.

"Flight 750 to Wolverhampton, now boarding"

"Hey don't go yet. Talk to me." Louis said as he sat us down at the benches causing me to roll my eyes. "There's nothing to talk about Lou." I said.

"Yes there is something to talk about. You've been so off for the past two weeks. Ever since our show in Manila you've been acting all bewildered. You literally look like a lost puppy onstage" Louis explained.

"I'm fine.. Just tired, I guess" I smiled and he shook his head. There was silence as Louis studied my tired eyes.

"Liam"

"What Lou"

"You're in love"

"What?"

"You're in love I can see it. Behind those tired eyes, there's that sparkle that anyone wouldn't miss" Louis said. "Sparkle? Really? I'm not in love Louis listen to yourself you sound like a loon" I rolled my eyes, trying to forget about what he just said. I am not in love.

"I'm your loon though. Anyway, who is it then?" Louis waggled his eyebrows.

"No one."

"There has got to be someone. Is it a girl from Bangkok?"

"No."

"Or that Sophia girl?"

"Louis no"

"Or is it Da- wait." Louis' eyes wide in realization. Oh no what is it this time.

"Its- its Dianne? Isn't it?"

"Flight 750 to Wolverhampton now boarding. Last call for flight 750 to Wolverhampton"

"No its not Lou. Get a grip on yourself. I'm not in love with anyone." I said stubbornly as I got up to go to my flight and Louis followed me.

"Yes you are! Think about it! Its so cute!" Louis cooed at me and pinched my cheeks rather harshly. Ouch.

"Louis. I'm. Not. In love. With. Anyone." I said as I looked in his eyes and watched my luggage go into the conveyor belt.

He smiled even wider and gave me a pat on the back.

"Yes you are boy" Louis smiled.

We both walked up to my gate and hugged each other as we said our goodbyes.

"This is so adorable, Liam." Louis smiled. "What is?" I asked.

"Dianne was the one head over heels for you. Teasing and running after you. Well, I could tell she was just playing and nothing serious actually but now look," Louis said. I nodded for him to continue. What's he on about...

"You're the one who has fallen deeply. Not her. What is this plot twist" Louis smiled wide.

I shook my head and laughed as I got up to hug Louis again.

"Just forget about it, lad yeah? I'm not in love" I smiled and Louis shook his head at me with a smile on his face.

"Whatever you say dad. Bye stay safe. Love ya boy"

"Love you too Lou" I said as I waved back at him and I entered the gate with Patrick, my bodyguard, trailing behind me.

As I was walking on the bridge way to the plane, my mind flashed back to the night of the 22nd.

The night where we were strolling by the bay. It was just like this. Long and cold. Except her hand was in my hand and we were- no. We were nothing.

Why did I even DM her? Why am I keeping this up? I'm supposed to be annoyed with her.

"Welcome to Coloma Airlines! May I see your ticket sir?" The flight attendant said as she greeted me with a warm smile and the occasional wink. I get that a lot.

I nodded as I gave her my ticket and she directed us to our seats at the Class A section.

"Is there anything you need sir?" She asked. "No. I'm good thanks" I smiled.

"Are you sure? There's nothing?" She smiled as she twirled her finger around her hair. Can she not. "I'm fine thanks" I said, trying to keep my calm.

Patrick was at the mini bar, getting something to eat leaving me at the back of the plane with my headphones in my ears.

I looked out the window and sighed at the breathtaking scenery.

I wish Dianne was here to see this with me.

Because we're friends. We're um we're more yeah that's it.

"Strong" played so I leaned my head on the window and let the song take over my mind.
