Chapter 24

3 days later...

"Ow ow ow ow Louis that's my - ow!" Liam yelped as Louis and Harry slowly layed Liam down on their hotel bed. "You okay boy?" Louis asked and Liam nodded and gave a thumbs up.

"We'll go pick up Niall now. You two behave yourselves okay? No canoodling. I'm watching you..." Harry said as he playfully glared at us as he and Louis exited their room hand in hand.

"So.."

"So..."

"Can I nap? Im tired..." Liam said shyly as he looked at me through his eyelashes. Aww this little puppy.. "Yes of course. I'll be here the whole time." I smiled and he nodded and went to sleep

"THE PARTY DONT START TILL I WALK- oh you're all asleep okay then" Niall's voice rang in my ears which caused me to jolt up from the bed. Liam was still asleep and I was sleeping near his..feet. I must've dozed off a bit.

"Niall!!!"

"Dianne! How are ya kid?" Niall said as he hugged me. "Im fine. Im not a kid though" I said and he ruffled my hair. So much for being short..

"And how are you?" Niall asked Liam as he sat down on the bed beside him and then proceeded to poke his face.

"Ouch stop it, you sap" Liam said and Niall just laughed.

"I'm obviously.. Beat up" Liam sighed and I internally cooed at how cute he could be even when he's in this broken state.

"Why ARE you beat up, though? I don't get anything" Niall looked worried. "We'll explain everything when Louis and Harry comes okay?" I explained and on cue, Larry came.

We turned our heads as they walked through the door.

"The power couple's here! Now sit down cmon cmon" Niall said giddily as he patted the spot on the bed across him, beside Liam. Liam was still lying down and obviously weak.

"Okay... We're not dating though..." Louis said shyly and Harry's face.. Fell? We'll discuss that later.

"Okay so we're going to explain what really happened..." I said slowly and they all nodded.

"You see, Liam and Iñigo, they um.." I said

"THEY KISSED?! SON OF A-"

"PANCAKE" Harry yelled, cutting Louis off. "Don't curse babe!" Harry scolded Louis. Babe? Hmm..

"No! They didn't kiss... They um.. How do I explain this" I muttered, unsure of how they would react.

"Iñigo and I just turned up at Dianne's house at the same time, unexpectedly and we were both there to I guess court her then Iñigo asked me to leave so I did and he followed me out and beat me but I didn't fight back then he was going for Dianne then I got mad then I fought back then I fell then he hit me with a rock on the head but he kind of missed then Dianne zoned out and I blacked out and I don't know what happened with Iñigo but ... Yeah." Liam let out in one big breath.

Everyone was shocked and gaping.

After a moment of silence,

"Wait. So Iñigo did this to you?" Niall asked slowly, obviously trying to keep his calm. "Yes. He kind of missed though, that's why I just had a gash on my forehead" Liam explained slowly. Niall nodded.

Harry and Louis were quiet. Harry, almost crying.

"He did this to you.. I can't believe it." Harry said.

"Lou?" I asked. He looked at me and looked back down.

"I-im okay.. I'm fine. You good now Liam? Want me to get back at him?" Louis said , holding Liam's hand and shaking with anger.

"No Louis don't. Promise me you won't hurt Iñigo. He's not himself, I know it. He's better than that. He's in love. When you're in love, you do... Things. Things you'd never thought you could do." Liam explained. Louis just nodded.

"I'd beat up that little piece of cra-"

"CRABS! Dont curse Niall!" Harry scolded Niall this time. Niall just shook his head.

"Well, what now?" I asked.

"Let's get you home." Louis said. I wanted to disagree but Liam needs his rest, and I haven't been home in...

"A WEEK!!" I exclaimed as I checked the date on my phone.

289 missed calls and 98 messages.

Sermon, here we come.

"We'll explain everything when we get there. Niall? Can you call Preston? I'll get Dianne home." Louis said emotionless and Niall nodded.

"Wait, I'll bring her home. You stay with Harry, Louis." Liam tried to get up and Louis stopped him. "No, Liam. You're not well. I can do this okay? Just today. You'll have her another day" Louis smiled and then headed out the door.

"I'll wait for you at the lobby, Dianne" Louis said and I nodded.

I turned to Liam as soon as Louis went out the door.

"Well.. You stay here, okay? Stay safe and don't get up please. Get better. For me." I said as I sat down beside him and kissed his forehead. I felt Liam touch my cheeks and face me towards him.

I leaned in closer.

He leaned in closer.

Our noses touched.

He closed his eyes.

I closed my eyes.

"I'm gonna marry you someday." Liam whispered.

He leaned back.

"Then I can kiss you." Liam winked and I blushed. My face was the darkest shade of red at this point, I just know it.

"I'll see you soon" I said slowly as I walked to the door.

"BYE DIANNE!" Harry and Niall ran out of the kitchen to hug me. They were obviously eavesdropping.

"Bye guys! I'll see you soon." I hugged them back and they left to the kitchen again.

"Stay safe" I said.

"You too." Liam answered.

I was about to leave when Liam..

"Hey" Liam called.

"Yeah?" I said when I was halfway out the door.

"I like you" Liam smiled like a child on Christmas morning, causing his eyes to crinkle like they always did when he was really happy.

"I like you too." I answered with a smile and a blush as I closed the door.
